Hi Guys, As oof now i have 70 Defiler alt and am looking for some advise from u guys.

I like my defiler alot but im horriable at soloing with her LOL. I was thinking maby i could betray to Mystic as i hear u guys are good at Meleeing, and Solo alot better than defilers. This is not a raiding toon and group content is EZ to heal thru either way i think so i do solo (or try too) with her alot. I can keep the defiler healed forever, but just cant DPS mobs down so would a Melee Mystic be a better option?

Honestly i have no info on the subject and was looking for some feed back. Thanks

I have just betrayed from Mystic to Defiler because of raiding so I can give you a good perspective on this one.

If you were to take 100% melee crits in the Shaman tree, and then take all the combat arts in the Mystic tree including the last one which boosts melee, then you would be soloing faster than a Defiler under most conditions.

With 2 stamina debuffs the mobs a Mystic will fight have less hps to start with, and because the combat arts cast so fast you will hardly get any interrupts. They rarely miss and they hit hard with the 100% crits. You will be impressed at how fast you take down regular mobs.

I can still solo much the same content with my Defiler (such as nest of the great egg) but spell interrupts are a pain and overall it takes a bit longer. Although I haven't tried the last named yet, I would say that the kettleleader is actually a little easier as a Defiler because its still a long fight whichever class you choose, and occasionally I could run out of power as a Mystic on that fight. So I may end up deciding that Defiler is a better soloer on some of the long fights.

But overall if you aren't gunna raid on your toon and you don't have any specific named mobs that you are trying to solo then I'd say go for it.

The mystic combat line in the EoF AA tree is a lot of fun. Combine that with the AGI line from KoS, and you will be doing some serious melee hurtage. (For a priest class that is.)

Hmmm, kind of what i figured. Thats good to hear. So, i would Spec STR/AGIL then Combat Arts line? or would i go AGIL/STAM in the KoS tree?

And should i go with a big damage range 2 hander or 1 hander/buckler?

Would i still use dogdog?.. i like dogdog, he's my buddy

He adds some DPS overall, so why not use him.

If you are picking up crits you want to find the most rediculous damage spread you can find. 1-400 with a 4.0delay is a beautiful weapon.

If you can get that on a 2hander, have at it, if you can get it on a 1 hander, have at it There is a weapon from EH I am drooling for and its a 1h blunt.

And as he said dogdog is still good to go even if you don't go the strength line. He just dies... more. But when I was soloing through catacombs I had him out with me letting him [Removed for Content] at the heals of the vamps while I sluged away at them. (I am agi-sta atm, might switch back to agi-wis)
