I can see this making an apperance in the future...

Just though i'd toss it out..

Would be super rare though (Or even craftable only) Ya know, Like 1 in 1000 metal chests gets you a grandmaster book...

probably not this expansion (figure 2-3 down the road if at all)

-B-

I dont think that's a good idea. If players started farming Grandmastery spells, they'd force whoever wanted to buy it to pay fortune large enough to supply an army for it.

Heck make them only drop from end raid bosses. Throw them all in the Bosses loot tables and have one gaurenteed to drop every raid but only one along with whatever loot that mob has. Use the EOF system of checking raid party members and dropping one for a class in the raid. With an effective random number generator it would keep the spells rare and fresh. Being tradeable the non raiders could not complain about not having access to them either, and at 100+ p profit per on ones they dont need the raiders shouldn't have a problem with the non raiders having them.

How about this, a Grandmaster Questline that you have to raid to gain the final componets for?

How about zones like DFC, with high demand gear? And the same for raiding? Like, you get the rare to make the gear, and you go kick a TSer around to have them make it for you?

I still think a Questline would be best, not only to keep farming down, but becomeing a Grandmaster should be a Personal Oddesy from a Roleplaying standpoint. Each class would have say 3 trainers that have options for folloing one questline. To keep things simple all classes have the same final raid zone.

I would like to see some type of specialty within the tradeskills that would give you Grandmastery skills. I do agree that this would need to be accomplished by a quest line.

Basically you are trained by some NPC Grandmaster that sends you out to his different students and they have you do quests to attain the skills required to eventually attain the abilities to create Grandmaster items. I do believe that when you complete these quests you should get a Legendary Item of what you are being trained on but it will never compare with creating the Grandmaster item that they give you a recipe for but will only be able to be used when you receive the title and complete skills (i.e. a Grandmaster Swordman or some other type of title that would allow you to create these types of swords for people) that is bestowed upon you from the NPC Grandmaster after completing the questline.

I would design it so that the only way you can create these items is by utilizing the ability (which I forget the name of) that requires someone to supply the materials for you to then create the item for them. So that people had to seek out these Grandmasters.

Just my thoughts.

The only problem with making it a Recipe is not everyone would have the correct tradeskills or the correct level and starting over would take a LONG time. Unless of course you have it like those Newbie armor Kits from EQI.
