Illusionist DPS?

Okay I saw an Illusionist pull off some crazy insane dps <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> So now I HAVE to ask, How can I spec my lil gnome to give him more than just stunning good looks? <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Can use your hp to pr conversion, and devitalizing gaze to slow down the power consumption. And for long fights with names agi int illys will pop savante down when they think they will run oop. All in all int line itself will add bout 45% more dps (cause of spell crits also). 30% pure from staying under 30% pr and i am guessing 15% more for crits (this one may be a bit less). W/O agi spec you can still do over 1k dps if you have lots of proc gear. IMO proc gear > int. Got bout 6 peices on me that will do dmg (may be 5). More proc gear and if your able to use agi/int properly you can hit 2k dps but 1.5k is also easily attained if you have lesser gear. I would say agi first get Perpet then go down int but some may say int first its all up to you. Just know that prob most your points will be going down agi line. And really only thing on int line is the end and spell crits.

Okay I'm not really sure what i want to be looking for.. but I searched the broker for like 5 minutes looking for items with offesive procs.. and couldnt find a single one.. Anyone have any proc gear info? i was hoping to be able to buy some gear ahead of time. before i hit T7 so i can anticipate it <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> but couldnt see any..

<p>There is already a post on proc gear in this forum, but you will find most of them are no-drop.  A few of them are pretty easy to get like Grizzlefazzle's walking stick and the Bone Clasp Girdle.</p><p>I few items like Ring of Superiority is attunable, but a pretty rare drop and rarely make it out of a guild loot.</p>

There's a stickied thread in that EQ2Flames Illusionist forum with a lot of good proc gear. Much of it is raid-dropped, but there are a fair number of items to be had from quests or groups. Grizzlefazzle and Bone-Clasped Girdle are quested (as mentioned), the Invoker earring is a collection quest (and a fantastic item, just adorn it later to keep the stats semi-useful), etc.
