A while back me and a few buddies who were talking tank shop noticed something.

My gaurdians "kick" line.. which the final spell "compression" ends that line .... doesnt... when casted the gaurdian uses it he swings his sword. Now.. more recently during a raid a bard friend was telling me "use the kick!" and it almost didnt register that i was to hit the "kick" spell compression.... mostly becuase i've never seen my gaurdian use an animation to "kick" like other classes get.

So i was wondering if this was an animation bug or if this is intended? If its a bug could we sometime in the future actually see our gaurdians "kick"?

No one wants to see your ugly Dwarf butt doing high kicks, Rezi!

Ya, I just started a Guardian (now 21) and got my replacement spell for the original kick. He now does a stabbing animation for his kick now. Original Kick kicked though.

I think variety could be added across the board for combat animations. I agree with you that one kick animation on a guardian makes sense and the animation should continue on upgrades.

The developers always seem to have so many irons in the fire though......hard to estimate when this would be easy enough or important enough to be fixed.

That's a shame you guardians lose a kick animation. Us zerkers retain ours. And, I rather enjoy it. It's a little twisting jump and kick, then a load of wrist rolling finished with a posing guard position. Until I grew complacent to it, I used make sure to let it play out by not interupting with another combat art.

My monk though (oddly considering their martial arts imagery) I'm sure has only one art with a kick animation. They get two kicks, but only one has an appropriate animation. The other looks like a jump and punch, I think.

Hrm, I've not played a guardian but I will ask the one in my guild if he's having the same issue.

As for zerker kick... I find it really amazing (and amusing) my Iksar zerker can do a spinning little kick with all that plate mail on. But then again, Dsarisz is supposed to be the RAWRBLAMSTRONG! type so I guess it works...? I like our zerker kick though, it's fun to watch hehe.

On my guardian I miss the kick animation as well! It's a shame they haven't fixed this yet or just changed the animation to a kick. I kthink it would be somewhat interesting since the new skeletal system is going in hopefully at the end of this year, but brawlers could be able to choose different fighting styles of animations as a one time thing to make them a little more unique. Some well known examples are Karate, Jujitsu and Taekwondo.

I also miss having a kick animation... it was nice to get an attack animation differnet from sheild bash, spinning slash and stab...

The scouts have a similar issue.

Each scout type has a debuff that the animation for was a ~lunging stomp~. It was distinctive and well done, yet they removed it with no word that it had been done, nor reason why.

It now has the animation of a swing. Sad.

I /bug'ged, /feedback'ed... ...nothing.

Stinks... =(
