I played a warlock on pve only til 45, but I figured I knew the spell lineup somewhat to try a Beta buffed warlock on Test recently. At first I did really [Removed for Content] because I did like on pve, start with little dots, since aggro is so bad. I died.....and fast. this is all doing 1 vs 1, not in grp. Next, I said f-this and went all out. I staggered all the interrupts and stuns with other spells so that the timers could wear a bit for the stun/interrupt immunity, then I would stun them again. I used all the grp spells (higher dmg mostly) and moved on to the single target after those were done, Thwart, etc... I did pretty good for a newb pvp warlock. Only got beat by a Templar, Defiler, and one SK (and I killed him the first fight). But, I don't know how to kill healers. Is there anyone that pvp's that can give any tips on how to kill healers? I just don't know all the smaller spells like I do on my Templar. I figured just use interrupts and stuff but that didn't work. Is there a useful spell that isn't a nuke that would help me out here? I didn't use the power drain, which I will use tonight, but it didn't seem to be that big of a drain. BTW - warlocks are great in pvp, I know they struggle in pve but they are looking really good on Test(PvP) right now. I suggest some of you try beta buffed Test out, you get EoF armor and all adornments and potions on the SS docks. I have a warlock and templar on there now, and it is fun as heck....lots of ganking going on but /shrug, it's Test. Sinking Sands dock is where it's at.

Healers is all how you react to them. For example, most healers(the dumbs ones) will let you nuke em down to 50% before they really start trying to heal themselves.  These are easy, when you see em hit orange health, just use Focussed Casting and burn the [Removed for Content] out of em. Another example, a smart healer that keeps his health at full before he nukes.  Kite him, run him around, use all the low power DoTs you have and chain Phantom Pillaging every time it is up.  If you are lucky, his power pool with drop faster than yours and your HP.  Wait till he is really low, then burn him using manashield as a save all if you have to. Most importantly, if there is any way to help it, never use manashield until Nullmail triggers.  Power goes fast, even with the new 1.5:1 ratio, if Nullmail is not up.

I noticed power does go really fast with manashield up. I would end up running out if I used it too early. That is a great tip on Nullmail and something I didn't even think about. I double-checked Pillaging and it is a decent power drain. Thanks for the help. I rolled my baby warlock on Naggy yesterday. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
