Hi there. Me again. So, okay, I started my wizard when Neriak launched. He is now level 41, and has manaburn, and 20ish points in his AGI tree. I'm here to tell you that I am absolutely chewing through mobs. When I die, it's because I am pushing the bar as far as I can. "Hey look at that yellow ^^^ I need for this quest. what the heck, let's see!" and then I realize that my evac spell hasn't refreshed yet, or some such thing. My deaths are clearly now my own stupidity. The resists happen here and there....but NOTHING like it was from levels 1-20. My A3 tether is holding quite well, and my nukes are getting through just fine. I'm looking forward to being able to explore KoS content, as I've never been high enough a level to try there. I guess that's not safe till like 55 though. So. Now I want to get from 41 to 55 as quickly as possible. I've explored Steamfont, Everfrost, Feerott, and Lavastorm. It seems, at 41, that most of my quests are orange, and many of the mobs are orange, and that I still have 80% to go to get to 42....sigh. I haven't gone to the Sinking Sands yet...maybe I should look around there. Can you guys think of any places I've missed for 40's? The highest toon I ever had made it to 50ish, and I remember spending alot of awful time getting my [Removed for Content] kicked in Maj'Dul, so I'm looking to try some other areas 45-55....Does Lfay fit into this? Basically, I need some pointers on fruitful areas from 41-55 outside of lava, feerott, everfrost, and steamfont. Oh, and one last thing, page-collection quests are AWFUL. Don't ever even pick one up, especially if you are a zealous quester like myself. There are waaaay too many of them, and they are waaaaaay too hard. <p>Just wanted to chime in here and say I have been reading your original thread with interest.  I have been in the same boat somewhat that you were in a couple months ago.  I created an Arasai wizard that I now have at level 25.  I did notice resists from levels 1-20 still higher than what I'd expect, but that was partly due to the fact my subjugation skill just couldn't keep up with my leveling speed.  I definitely died many times, but still made progress, and I shrugged it all off as learning the class (first time I've played a cloth caster with no pet), and "growing pains", especially after reading your original thread.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I do believe that even with max'd subjugation, the resists are still higher at those levels (I saw more than I would expect once I got subjugtion max'd).  Now, like others have said, things are much better, now that I have ball of fire at master II, and I have a root that lasts 15 seconds, and subjugation is max'd (or no more than 5 levels below max if I just dinged).</p><p>Anyway, to answer one of your questions - lesser faydark is roughly a level 50-60 zone.  There are some decent quest lines here that are mostly soloable with a few heroic ones (I'd say roughly 80% are solo, 20% are heroic).  Definitely worth the AA.  Make sure you get the "single click" quest from every stable master.  This will allow you to ride horses (which function like the griffons do in the other zones - you can't control them), which makes getting around a LOT faster.</p>

I appreciate that. That was the intent of that thread....to give some hope to newbie-wizards that things do, in fact, get better, if you have the patience and drive to get through it. I'll head to LFay at 50. I'll head to Rivervale and see what's going on over that way. I did all the yellow quests I could last night, and i'm still at 41, though much closer to 42. It's weird, everything is orange now, so 41 is like a transition level. I have a ton of orange quests though, so I should be for happy for awhile once they turn yellow/white for me. I'll head to the Sinking Sands once the quests start to dry up. If anyone can think of anything else to do in my 40's please suggest it! -Morticandarius Rathbourne of Mistmoore needs a sig.

You're skipping a loooooot of quests if all you have is yellow. I've had 90% blue/green quests in my journal since about level 12.... Granted i also have 1500+ quests done at 58 heh...
