As I have been walking around I see a lot of players who are 'roleplaying' (i.e. that displays where their level and class would be). It's a noob type question...but what is the point of it? Why not just allow others to see your level/class?

basically... if you are on the Antonia Bayle server, then they are most likeley roleplaying for real.

Some players put that Roleplay sign on so other Roleplayers know that they want to RP.

It also helps reduce plat spam tells, and if you're a healer it can help prevent blind invites to groups that are so annoying.

There are several reasons people may want to hide class and level information. Some good ones are listed above. A lot of 70s go /anon or /role to avoid blind invites from people that want mentors.

I use anon for when I dont want people to know my class/level and /roleplay when I want.... roleplay. And I'm on a pvp server. shocking!

The reasons above are all good, but I use /roleplay to balance my taxes.
