I have a 70 Raid geared Warden and leveling a second Warden and melee speccing him.

I've noticed the melee warden is a lot funner to solo with and does far more damage it seems; but have a few questions on stats and gear. Sadly the selection of gear at my disposal is not great as I do not raid anymore. I have been able to get some nice items off the broker with good str and wis; but in doing so my int has fallen quite low, how important is int to a melee specced warden?

I am posting a screenshot of my stats at lvl 62, no adorments have been added at this time and am looking for advice on how to balance my stats out so I am viable in pickup raids and still able to solo well. Should I lower my str and try and bump int up or try to push str thru the roof, I'm a little worried as a lot of the melee attacks have spelll based damage and thinking int may be important.

Int means nothing to a melee warden until you get your str up past 650-700 or so.. then you may want to pick some int up where you can for added proc damage (but even then it's an extremely minor concern imo); the only CA we get that has damage affected by int is the cold slice AA (or so I've seen it said that the dot portion is int-based.. idk for sure because I prefer my m1 spell for the debuff on it so I never touched the CA version). If you're worried about possibly not being useful on a pickup raid because you may not be able to get into melee range at times, then the simple answer is to run with several sets of gear (my main has 3 sets.. my old nuking set with lots of hostile spell procs and int-focused, my healing set, and my melee set). There really is no other way to do it because the gear options just aren't out there to be able to push your spell and melee dps at the same time.

Thank you for the response,

Any suggestions on what gear and jewelry I should be trying to obtain as a non raiding/casual raiding warden.

Hard to tell ya honestly as an ex-hardcore raider... an imbued str ring is definitely a good one to go for.. there's a belt from the SoD line with str/wis on it if you need something for that slot. rallos zek cloak if you're evil (or if you wanna exile), take the melee wrist from the deathtoll access quest, first named in freethinker's hideout drops a VERY nice buckler (prolly be some competition for that though, just fyi). Clockwork menace drops a pretty good ring with some +slashing on it (was good for me cuz I use a serrated sword of retribution though.. won't help AS much if you're using a crushing weapon), animist gear (out of labs) tends to have str/wis on it.. that's pretty much all I can think of off the top of my head that requires minimal/no raiding or is from the easier raid zones. I'm really not the best person to ask about gear for a more casual player because I've never played my warden casually and even now, when I can't raid, I don't play her casually (just don't play her at all for the time being >.&gt

There is a bunch of player made jewlery for specific resists .... having the sets to boost your stats in what ever direction is needed will help alot .... your physical mitigation is looking decent ....seems like they keep ninja nerfing our mitigation by 100 pts here and there though ....IDK????

If you can afford a few plat ... there are items on the broker usually ,for boosting your str a bit ... getting your str up to 600-700 is definately possible in the right groups ,but remember haste X strength is also a big boost to dmg output. Getting str to450 - 500 solo ....with no potion/food is about as high imo as anybody needs to get.

So once you get a little higher in level and get the gear you want to adorn ... you can add 62 str to items through adornments ... bracelets, shoulders, legs, chest.
