It is quite apparent that the risks in splitpaw have been tweaked upwards and the rewards have not been raised. If anything they have been lowered.

I know that splitpaw is old hat and probably nobody goes there much anymore, but that doesn't mean it should be ignored. Splitpaw is very frustrating now with all the long reuse timers which cause great frustration when you fail and cannot get back in to whatever instance you were in for several hours. The reuse timers no longer make sense with the rewards being so low. The exp is terrible and there are very very few drops.

I think the reuse timers should be drastically lowered or the rewards should be dramatically raised to match the current risk in splitpaw. I am speaking mainly for the solo player.

The worst instance is Harclaves. It used to be that you were fairly safe once you got the Harclave buff, but that is no longer true. The risk of adds in the instance now is so great that the buff no longer insures success. I for one will not return to splitpaw. From the amount of players I saw in the zone I think many many others avoid the zone also.

Just file Splitpaw away in unused outdated obsolete content along with bloodlines and all those old world instances.

It used to be great, then sony saw everyone was having fun and nerfed it.

It quickly became a ghost town.

Seriously though. THere was a instance with a 1-4 hour lockout that gave some serious rewards (and fun) for the time invested and people were living in it, so in an effort to get people out and about, it was revamped.

-B-

The only zone in Splitpaw that isn't worth the effort for risk vs reward is Harclave's instance. It's still worth doing one time just to experience the zone, but don't bother going back. It was nerfed for good reason however. For a while it was entirely too good for the effort and many players were just living in the zone. I had one guildy literally gain like 20 levels there. It just wasn't healthy for the long term health of the game overall. So I really wouldn't expect them to change anything in that zone.

Should imagine Splitpaw is a godsend for PvPers. Especially Harclaves. A decent sized solo instance where you can gain xp without getting your face torn off by other players. I would imagine its well used over on those servers.

Now, I'm not talking about level locking and all that nonsense, I'm talking about maintaining a respectable amount of AAs for your level, which means you're still required to go out and get that AA somewhere else.

Yes I recently bought it, and I am very disappointed. I love the Arena idea though.

I agree, it could use a little re-vamping. I am thinking of cancelling my station access account, because alot of the adventure packs are becoming pretty outdated.Still having fun on the Island of Mara though!
