If so how long should i expect this to take.

Thanks,

Just wondering because I've always played since the launch date so never have done this.

It can be slow but that sounds too slow. Make sure your router if connected is not blocking any connections. Also what kind f download speed do you have through your ISP? To give you an example I Installed the original game and it took me about 2 hours to patch total(including the install for DoF, KoS, and EoF). Bandwidth is also limited to geographical location where are you in the world?

I live in the suburbs of chicago, with cable internet, and before I patched i reset my internet, could it be that im downloading EQ the game , DoF and KoS in the patcher?

Because all that i got with the expansion is 2 disks...

No it should not matter. There is something going on with your connection and the EQ2 Servers. I would make sure you have all firewalls turned off. MS windows SP2 firewall and also your router. Try bypassing your router if you have one by plugging the cable directly into the computer to the modem. When you bought EoF the data for all the expansion is on the disks you are not downloading that data. You are only downloading the content and fixes they have added since that released. When I downloaded for instance I did not have any discs but the original game... no expansions and I did all of it in 2 hours. I currently have a 5mbps down connection and 512k up connection. It sounds like you have a firewall somewhere.
