Rather than retype what i posted in the other thread below earlier, i'll just quote it. <blockquote>Yeah, Ice Flame still occupies a slot on my hotbars, and i do still use it when recasts on my better dps spells are down. However, here is something interesting i noticed. I beta-buffed a wizard on pvp test, and had all his spells mastered out. I received a level 53 spell called "Glacial Flame" (no, not the mystic spell called Glacial Flames before someone makes some [I cannot control my vocabulary] comment =P). Anyway, it was a direct upgrade to our level 35 bloodlines spell. I then also beta-buffed a coercer (the other toon i play), to check if his bloodlines spell had also received an upgrade - and i found a level 53 spell called "Mana Cover", which was a direct upgrade to the level 35 "Mana Cloak". So, is it worth speculating that our level 35 bloodlines spells will be receiving an upgrade? I havent seen anything in the test notes. </blockquote>

what we need to remember is these are from pvp server. they get things that we dont and things that we lost. they can buy tickets to lava storm and everfrost, thier class gear is different then pve. unless it goes live its just another perk they get and we dont.

I was under the impression that with the exception of Devastation Fist, which has no level base, the best you can get for the Bloodline spells was a crafted AD3. (on a pve server). I was led to believe that M1 books of it did not exist. is this true, or is it just that the options for finding lower level M1 books are limited to the point that it's just assumed to not exist?

They don't exist, unless in the course of two years not a single bloodlines spell master has been dropped because they haven't been discovered anywhere.

<p>That the Ice Flame Master I does not exist in the current live game can be confirmed by going to the EQ2 item database. Adept III is the highest level version of "Ice Flame" that has thus far been discovered. The alternative is to believe that the Master I version does exist, but is so rare it has yet to drop.</p>

<p>"Spirit of the Bat" (Master I) appears to have been discovered one time on only one server, and that was on the server "Storms." Is this a regular server? I'll admit to not being familiar with EQ2 server histories. I'm also curious if this could have been some sort of GM award, rather than a regular drop.</p><p>Personally, I'd like to see all Bloodlines spells have Master I versions. As it is now, you don't have to have done the Bloodline quests to buy the Adept IIIs off the broker. You can even buy the scroll to create the Adept IIIs without doing the quests. Having Master versions drop would provide a good reason to visit an under-utilized zone.</p>

An under utilized zone that caps somewhere in the high 30s or low 40s... fact of the matter is people do this quest line to get Devastation Fist and that's about the end of it. I doubt you'll see an army of 70s mentoring down to run a slaughterhouse anytime soon.
