Example as i understand it Current weapon Rapier of buckling swashes Dual wield 68 DR (totally made up) Delay 1.6 25 str 25 int +5 piercing After GU37 (or whenever this goes live) If used alone Rapier of buckling swashes One Handed 78 DR Delay 1.6 25 str 25 int +5 piercing If used in off hand Rapier of buckling swashes One Handed 68 DR Delay 2.08 25 str 25 int +5 piercing These figures are not accurate they are a made up example of how i imagine itll work. Stats will stay the same (maybe) delay will increase (i think ive read in forums by factor of 1.3) to balance out the DR and bring it back in line with current Dual wield. Test forum might have more detailed laying out of how this will be but this is my understanding.

The way things are now, there are 3 categories of weapons: 2H, 1H, and DW, and the only way you can use 2 weapons at once is by equipping a DW in each hand. In GU37, they're merging the categories of 1H and DW: every DW weapon will be permanently converted to a 1H (scaling up the damage by a factor of 1.33). If you are a class that can dual-wield, you will be able to equip two 1H weapons, one in each hand. If you do that, the delay will be increased by a factor of 1.33 on your primary, secondary, and ranged. (Probably the ranged delay is a bug that will be fixed.) So for someone who's currently using a pair of DW weapons, your damage rating will be the same after GU37, but your weapons will hit slower and harder.

quick FYI, unless they have changed things these changes will not be part of the next LU, Im guessing they will be part of LU37. Pretty sure the devs said that they just wanted to get people started on testing these changes.
