I'm currently running an ABIT KN8 SLI motherboard (Socket 939) with an AMD Athlon64 4000+ running at 2.41GHz, 2GB of PC3200 (2x1GB), 2x 74GB WD Raptors (non-RAID, I use one for my OS and one for my Games), 2x EVGA 256MB GeForce 7900 GS KOs in SLI, and all fed by an Ultra 500W Modular PSU. I'm currently considering three upgrades. 1) Should I replace my AMD Athlon64 4000+ Single Core @ 2.41GHz with an AMD Athlon64 FX-60 Dual Core @ 2.6GHz? 2) Should I double my RAM from 2GB (2x1GB) to 4GB (4x1GB)? Right now I use WinXP Pro SP2, which will only recognize a max of 3GB but Vista (when I get it after the bugs are out) will recognize 4GB. 3) Should I replace my pair of EVGA 256MB GeForce 7900 GS KOs with a single 340MB GeForce 8800 GTS? I can only do one upgrade at the moment, and I'm not really sure which is the best for my system. As it stands, I can play this game in anything up to Extreme Quality as long as shadows are turned off, which tends to lead me towards getting the FX-60.
