If youve still got your old pc, you can just copy it straight over, itll save a lot of time.

Or go to everquest2.station.sony.com/install and you can install it that way (though it will take an awful long time). This is the link to the web installer for the game (was linked in one of the stickies in the tech forum).

I believe if you get the trials it can download the rest of the game for you once youve logged in, but you would have to download a lot (note: Ive never tried it so I could be wrong).

It is exactly as you said:

The Trial will download the whole game as soon as you log in with your active account. It's the same patcher.

Looks like you are set. Just a few things. If the new computer runs Vista. Programs can not be transferred only files can. If you had the retail versions of the expansion packs, no downloading needed except for the LUs since EoF release. Plus you only need to install the retail version of EoF. Do not install the DoF or KoS expansions. These and the original files for EQ2 are included on the EoF retail copy.

It took 43 hours to to download all the expansions and all three adventure packs ( 8.5 gigs) to my machine.

I'm on cable and downtown Seattle, 1/2 mile from one of the main internet hubs (in the Westin hotel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westin_Building)

I began the DL as I went to bed on a Wednesady night and it was done that Friday when I got home form work....
