That quad core is going to do didly squat for EQ2 excepting the fact that you can offload other programs to seperate cores, nice if you need to burn a disc or something. 4GB Ram, nice, but if you're going with a 32bit OS 1.5GB of that is going to be useless as the system will only be able to address 4GB total including video ram. PhysX? why? Soundblaster Xtrememusic is a very bad card, you'd be far better dropping the PhysX and getting a decent X-Fi. Raid0 on those drives should be sweet for zoning As for getting EQ2 running there shouldn't be much to it, not sure what SLI mode you'll need to use but I'm sure somebody can tell you.

The PC was prebuilt and I got it for a very low price so i will make changes to it as issues arise. System will be dual boot XP MCE / Vista 64 Bit (Once I add a new HD and load Vista) Qx6700 is for improved performance on Adobe CS2, Pinnacle, 3D's max etc... I know EQ2 will only use 1 out of the 4 cores. PhysX and Sound Card were just part of the package I posted because I've heard rumors of people having serious issues with this processor, and Ive read numerous posts on people having SLI problems and having to turn SLI off to get increased Frame rates. I am looking to see if the processor rumors are true and if the SLI issue has been resolved or if there is some sort of work around for it.

Twin 7950's in SLI. Noticeable difference when not in SLI.

Personally, I wouldn't have wasted the money on the top-end Intel. I've had nothing but problems from Intels and my AMDs run like a dream. I would've gotten a dual-CPU Socket F motherboard and a pair of AMD Athlon64 FX-74s.

Vaeamdar, Paired 256MB EVGA GeForce 7900 GS KOs in SLI - Do you run EQ2 in SLI or do you have to disable SLI to get good frame rates?

I have SLI enabled with a lot of the SLI fancy stuff like AA x16 enabled and don't have an issue with frame rate until my CPU starts dumping load for some reason.
