VG pally vs EQ 2 pally

I have played both.... I have to say that if Sigil did one thing right in VG it was the core design behind the paladin. Not sense EQ1 have I enjoyed a pally so much. You should all take a walk to some of the paladin fansights and read up on the VG pally. If they took even half of the cool stuff and applied it to EQ2 I would be willing to bet the pally would be hudge fotm. I always found the EQ2 pally to be a bit dull and it never seamed to be the "Good Guy" the lore would have you believe. Sigil nailed that aspect down to a science. Everthing you do benifits you and your group. Alot of realy good ideas. Saves in VG are alot of fun. Sometimes a squishy getting aggro can be a good thing. I am not here to promote VG just to ask people to check out the pally there. I would love to see some of that pally love here.

<p>I played both Paladins.</p><p>And I agree with the OP, the Paladin in VG is indeed far superior to the EQ2 Paladin. Not to say I hate the EQ2 Paladin or anything, but the mechanics behind the EQ2 Paladin are much more in line with the purpose of a Paladin. </p>

<p>Eh, I played both - the VG Paladin was good, it's just that the rest of the game is a constant stream of bugs.</p><p>I enjoy EQ2 and the vision of the Paladin here, at least at the levels I'm at.</p>
