I have the origanal Everquest 2 game and all the expansions except for EOF. I go to try and order the expansion pack digitally and what do I see? The expansion all by itself costs the same as someone who is buying the new EQ2 EOF that includes the main game all the other expansions and a free month of play? What is up with this? Does it not make sense that the single expansion pack cost less then the full version that includes all the other expansion packs already that I had to pay for seperatly already?

Lets add this up for everyone.

Main game $19.99.

Deserts of Flame $19.99

Kingdom of Sky $19.99

EOF $39.99

Ok so people who have played the game since release have to pay close to $80.00 over half that being for one expansion? Were some newb can waltz in today and get it all for $40. Where is SOE's dedication to their veterans? I was going to get the expansion if it was like the others in cost $19.99, however now I will wait until SOE figures out how foolish this is and lowers the price for the expansion. I don't mind the $39.99 game with all the expansions included for newbs but cut the cost of the single expansion download for your base. This is just common sense guys come on.

The price one pays to be an early adopter.

They each cost about $40 when they were released. In a few months EoF will go down in price -- after RoK comes out.

At release, EQ2 cost between 54.99 and 59.99 depending on store and version(CD or DVD).

for me the DVD vers the CD price where the same, at the store for EQ2 classic, wich was 49.00 for the game or 69.00 for collectors Ed. Now that same game is $10.00, is that a rip-off? its base EQ2, just like I bought it at release.

The fact of the matter is the price of the EXPANTION is $39.00. If you buy it from the store you get FREE all previous Retail Expantions and the Base game. All MMOs eventually have bundle packs thats just how it works heck I just picked up EQ1 Anniversary Ed. for $20.00 or so and it included every expaintion upto The Buried Sea(wich I think is the most current one, or there could be a newer one they seem to have an expaintion every few weeks there), does that hurt the player that has been playing for the nearly 10 years that game has been out?

The reason people paid the $29(for KoS/DoF) and $39(for EoF) at the release of the game was so they could play the expantions right then. Its the same reason people paid 600 for an Xbox 360 and are still paying 600 for a PS3 because they want it NOW and are not willing to wait for the price to drop, even though the consols would accually be worth MORE the longer you wait as there would be more good games available on them.

"We deserve the same /claim items as the people who bought the box! We paid the same price, after all!" Seriously...there has to be some incentive for people to go out and buy the box.

I am in the same position, I have all the expansions up to EoF, and I went to get it and saw that it was still 40 bucks. If they are selling the "package" deal on D2D for 40 bucks they should cut the price of _just_ the EoF expansion to $20. Doesn't this make sense?

I know they will drop the price of just EoF, but hopefully they do it soon.
