Didn't know where else to put this...

Why can't we leave messages on our market board? Something like listing specials, or crafts we do... or what your willing to trade for?

ie.) Selling 100 Treasured items for transmuters at x price

Send me a tell about buying complete sets of armor or spells for one price!

Buy one stack of x cluster and receive one free stack of z coals!

I think this would help alot of ppl sell their wares, especially if they know that the seller is offering such great incentives...

just a suggestion

I think the Buy This Get That thing would require additional coding complexity that doesnt work unless it were up to the seller to send the item in the mail which would add more work for the seller thus reducing its usage.

I do however, think some of this has merit. Even something as simple as a check box when listing items that says "Will Trade" and a comments box you could add your "things acceptable as trade" for that item so someone could contact you in game regarding setting up a trade.

Would also like to see auctions set up in game, much like ebay style. Set amounts of time - highest bidder gets them with buy now options as well. (again, not sure if the coding required make it doable or not)

Due to the complexity of the character models, I know this will never happen, but here it is...

I miss the open bazaar from WAY back in EQ1 when everyone would be chatting in /auction, selling and buying once a week and such. It was a blast. Eventually with the Bazaar zone that GREATLY increased the ease of finding items and still allowed people to auction and advertise while others could be AFK selling too. I would love to see a bazaar zone in EQ2 really. Maybe one per city.

However, due to the complexity of the character models, it would make the game a literal slideshow on possibly even the best computers lol.

I suppose I just kinda miss that simple interaction between players. I guess I'm just old school.

Would be great if others could leave messages for you, too (obviously, we'd need a "report" button like we have on our mail to help curb abuse).

Adding the ability to post a message on your market board for visitors would be a great addition. I list many items on the broker, but would like to list my rates for commission work and bulk purchases. If a window popped up when the board is selected with the ability to add a block of text, then each player could use it however they wanted: sales messages, greetings, items for which they will trade. No added functionality needed beyond displaying a block of text.

You can have hundreds of items for sale potentially. Because you are willing to trade for one item doesnt mean that you are willing to trade for any item you have for sale. You might also want to list that you will for example - have for sale a Nimbus root. You might want to click "Will Trade" and add text that you will trade Nimbus root for Dragonhide (maybe you are a tailor wanting to make backpacks)

Maybe throw an MOTD when they enter your room or at the top of your marketboard? Good for general but again, dont think its specific enough.

I've often purchased things and wanted to contact the seller for more of an item, etc. But by the time I leave their room I usually forget. Same with MOTD. I purchased the mailbox long ago and have it literally right under my market board for this very reason. It's also next to my crafting station. I can check the mail, craft items needed and mail them out without having to run all over the city to do it. I can also search the market and send emails to certain sellers. This is another reason I use my faction house in MajDul more than Qeynos - the broker is in the same room as the mailbox, best of both worlds - I can buy from there as well as search and send mail. And oh yeah, the faction merchant is standing right there as well so I can do my merchant sells and did I mention the banker is in the next room?

SC

PS the next step would be having the toons carry portable mail reading devices...."Fayberries" LOL

OMG, this was just hilarious! No one ever uses it though, since the level channels are server-wide and thus able to reach a greater share of the people who might buy from you.

This is kinda on the same subject. I have always wished that we could leave little notes for people in their houses. Something along the lines of "Hi, stopped by to say hi" or "Hi came over and bought <insert item here>, great house!! was wondering if you had any more of
or if you have any < item name>, thanks!!! Have a great day!!" type of thing. I just think it would be a cute idea to be able to leave little "post-its" for people.
