Dell Inspiron 6000 Graphics problems

I'm wondering if anyone out there is running EQ2 on a Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop.  I am having an issue on two different laptops of the same model with the same graphics card, the ATI Radeon X300 Mobile.  Apparently, ATI does not support this particular card, and Dell has not issued a new driver in over a year.  The problem that both laptops have is, the game will momentarily freeze, then go all fuzzy, then come back and all water graphics will be scrambled and very odd looking.  I can tolerate this except when it happens 20 times in 10 minutes.  It really hurts my gameplay experience and I was wondering if anyone had any kind of solution to this problem.  Thank you.

Im also having the same problem with the same model laptop and graphics card, I would also like to know if there is a fix for this.  I have tried the Omega drivers also with the same results, no matter what level of graphics I run it ends with the crash/fuzzyness.  This has only been an issue in the last couple months, before that I never had any issues.

I have the same model Dell laptop, and I can tell you from experience it's most likely due to overheating. Put a good cooling pad under the laptop for playing EQ2 because it heats up the memory like all get out.
