I hear that int is important as SK, so ok, figure that some gear should be int. but I'm looking at the race post and some people say play erudite. and I've heard more say that every item of gear should have int on it.

... it just seems odd, you are a tank, or a sometimes tank. all int? really?

it sounds like liquid pain trying to level up an erudite tank or sometimes tank

play whatever race you want. Erudites have high base Int so it fits...but it's hardly game breaking.

as for Int, yes, of course it is important. SK's are caster tanks and our damage is done by spells. The higher your Int, the more damage your spells do, the better you keep agro.

but all Int? no. it's best to be well rounded. you still want Str for auto attacks and the few CA's we have, Sta for HP, Wis for resists, Agi for avoidance. being a plate tank, SK specifically...Int, Str, and Sta are the most important. but if you end up going for Int only, you will end up gimping yourself.

Unlike most "tanks", only ~10% of our abilities are Combat Arts and ~90% Spells. As such, most of our abilities damage are based off INT and not STR. Most SK's are going for INT, STA, Health, and AGI ...

At lvl 70, Abominable Wrath (Adept III) can have a varience from 1050 to 1600 depending on INT.

*Edit* hehe, I read the above post and agree on stats to a degree. STR I forgot to list, its important, but I didn't know where it should fall since the list I have is also important ... but INT is the primary.

Dont forget that 1/3 of SK's power comes from INT. 2/3 from Str. So having int as your lowest stat is ALSO hurting you. Crusaders get the shaft in the way of specialzing stats. Other tanks focus on Str Sta Agi. SK's have to focus on Str Sta Int Agi. Paladins need all 5. 1/3 of their power is from wis. 2/3 from str. sta for hp. agi for our avoid. and int for our dmg done by spells...... It hurts spreading out stats so thinly.

Not to confuse the guy, but after RoK STR will mean a bit more to us. All of our CAs are geting upgrades where as many or our current bad [Removed for Content] spells stay T7

He's refering to the level order that spells and CAs come in, and the introduction of t8 means that many of the CAs will get t8 upgrades and many spells will not. If things remain on the 14-level upgrade path, current level 57-66 should be getting upgraded.

Well, like others have said race doesn't matter. Play whatever you like, because anythign passed t2 can be customized based on your gear. Though I personally recommand the dark elf race for SK class in case you need opinions. As far as intel goes, yes you are going to be needing it for both pvp and pve. However if you plan pvping heavily, stack up on intel and don't worry too much about your str. Focus on intel, stamina, str, wisdom, agility. in that order and for your aa focus on stamina and intel line, but only go 448 intel line. For pve, still focus on intel, but don't lose sight of your str, because yo uwant to be building some aggro thru auto attacks as well. For aa i would recommand intel line and str lien for MTing.
