I picked gnome but any will do 3) Neriak will be the busiest as its the newest, so for that reason, i would choose it. 4) Anything with +int or +power is first concern. It may help finding the odd +Str item just to help you carry more stuff especially if you a pick a weaker race. 5) when i was levelling there were no AAs till after i was 60. Int may help as you level for less hate as many tanks will not yet have a full array of adept III/master taunts etc so this may help a bit with aggro plus it will give you slightly more power damage. Endgame, popular builds are str/wis str/agil or agil/wis. Agil/wis is probably the most user friendly, less spike damage and easy on power usage. This all changes next LU anyway. EoF, hastenings and explosives are most popular but some swear by propogations. Personally, i prefer the former. 6) Most of the time, its the biggest AE nuke , the absolution line. 7) i got by with adept III roots till i mastered all my damage spells. Damage was always my priority when i had a few plat. Warlocks spells are relatively cheap though Dark Infestation is annoyingly rare on my server!!. You can go anywhere really but always be aware, indoors, your PBAoE spells will work through walls and pull adds. 9) yes, but Int has diminishing returns after 650ish damage wise. So its easy to reach with fabled items and the sol ro pet. 10)Pally tank with Amends on me, Fury with Vim on me, Illusionist with synergism and time compression on me. Defiler for 2nd healer and nice poison/disease debuffs,& random other, brigand maybe for debuffs. 11) Brawler tanks and casting PBAoE thru walls.

Just be aware that you are probably better off hitting Nektulos through Commanlands then Darklight when you hit the low 20's. I would also suggest though that once you get invis (around level 15 if I remember correctly) hit up all four areas for exploration AA.

What's your ideal Armor, Jewelery, Weapons set up while leveling? What you really need to do is get your warlock to level 45 or so (I believe that's when you get the Nightblood dumbfire pet). Then summon it in the Baubleshire and start yelling "THEY FOUND YOU, THEY FOUND YOU!!!!!" It works better if you brings some more warlocks and a few necros with the Lamia style pet as well. On a more serious note though, remember to watch for where you cast your point blank (blue) AoE spells. You can easily pick up more mobs that way, including through the walls.

I played a raid loaded tank and I know ALL about the Aggro hell from casters and melees... and Even the wanna-be Clank clerics

As far as what Warlocks can do damage wise... First of all, race doesn't really matter in EQ2 at all. The only exception I can think of is picking an Ogre/Berserker if you want to be a raid MT. That being said, the Fae/Arasai have a slight advantage over everyone else with the Fae Fall ability, which is basically 100% safefall outside of combat. You will get 7 out of 10 racial abilities by the time you hit 70, so there's not a whole lot of choice involved ^_^ that being said, I went with the ones that improve mana first, followed by HP second, followed by combat skills third. I think the best starting zone nowadays is Neriak. Greater Faydark is in second, while Qeynos is at a decent third and Freeport is at a distant last. What makes a good starting zone is quick, easy quests, and the Qeynos+FP starting zones involve way too much running around compared to the other two. The first AA tree you should level up is the Hastenings line on the Warlock tree, because it upgrades all of your early spells which will help you gather other AAs quicker and more efficiently. After that, I went with the WIS line on the KoS tree and I really liked it, because even the starting abilities are useful in that tree. After you fill out the WIS line you can respec it to one that has more useful end abilities, like STR or AGI. By the time you get that far you should know what you'll want for the rest of your AAs =) For M2 spells always pick the biggest single-target nuke whenever they are available. Lower levels are mostly about soloing, and the easiest to find solo mobs come in single targets. If there's no big single-target nuke available, the next bet is a big AE nuke. If there's no nukes available, then its best to resort to a DoT, followed by buff, followed by debuff. Unfortunately there's not very many low level "warlock-friendly zones" which have lots of huge encounters. The closest thing is Runneye, Zek, and Feerot, although all of those zones are level 30+. For lower levels, in my opinion the best places to level were Neriak ---> Nek Forest ---> Butcherblock ---> Zek ---> Feerot. Getting into the occassional Fallen Gate, RoV, and Runneye groups that you can. One thing to avoid is to not use DoTs if you have an enchanter in the group who's trying to mez. If you land a DoT on a mob before they lay the mez, your DoT will break the mez until it expires or you cancel it. This is a bigger problem with AE DoTs than regular ones; thankfully, if an encounter is AE mezed and you cast an AE DoT, the AE DoT will not take effect. That being said, all classes in EQ2 have great AE abilities, so its almost always better to AE adds rather than mez them. Enchanters are a pretty popular alt class nowadays, and unfortunately the new ones tend to mez too often in groups...don't be afraid to insist on Enchanters mezzing less so you can unleash your AEs; the group will get XP much faster that way. Not only because you can bring more DPS to the table, but also because the Enchanter can DPS more if they're not doing as much crowd control.
