I am not a mage so I don't know what the official name for these are. It's the one where there are 3 huge mage water pets that are caste and attack a mob. They take a huge amount of resourses, because of their size and their watery form.

Simple and flat out, these things lag a raid, badly. I have a descent puter, 2 gigs of ram. But these things just kill me. As an assassin I can't even do a concealment chain because they lag me out so bad, I lose a ton of DPS. It's funny when they expire because it's like bang! I can play again.

Please put in a function of "hide mage pets" or change the size so they are really tiny or something. Please!

They are called Elemancers and they actually change form throughout the levels. As a mage who uses this pet considerably I have never noticed lag on it before. You mentioned raid zones which tend to lag for a variety of reasons - after all you have 24 people, pets, deity creatures, etc all working in there.

I know you mentioned you notice as soon as they die you can play again so you are obviously watching it but I just have not seen this in using this pet for months now, solo / group - never used it in a raid typically only use the Mage there.

yes them pets freeze up raids badly.

I dont watch for them, my puter unfreezes when they go away. I think others that raid know what I am talking about. It really is a big issue for allot of us.

they need to change the size of them things or just put in a "hide mage pets feature"

As long as the /hide is a toggle I dont care. When they first came out with /pet hide I thought it would be a good thing, less on the screen until I realized that casters (me included) are used to the visual of their petso n the screen. Especially when pulling with them or making sure they are staying ranged, etc.

I am all for toggles as long as they are just that. hide them when you need to, keep them out when you need to, works for me.

Please don't change what they look like... just add a toggle.
