When you are fighting a mob and you have the next spell qued and someone else kills the mob and the tank quickly targets another directing that qued spell at that new mob. I would hope that any spells qued for that mob would be wiped and this would be considered a new encounter. Yes you can stop it by moving your char to interrupt the spell or the tank can help by not targeting anything right away. Fixing this would allow us to get through an area with quick respawns where the tank has to move rather quick from mob to mob.

Yeah, this is annoying, especially since mobs can now taunt. Tabbing through mobs is uneliable, especially in a tight area, and clicking can be difficult with overlaping entities. At the very least, they need to do something like limiting 'tab' to only cycle through engaged mobs.

Speaking from the Tank point of view, use /assist(tank name). this way you will target the mob directly not through the tank. If someone else in the group gets agro or pulls an add the tank will (should) taunt the mob off. He won't want the whole group following him. Keep beating on the original mob. when it's dead use /assist again. This will work on 95% of the encounters in game.

I have even had it happen when the tank targets the 2nd mob and has not begun the attack and my qued spell casts. I sent in a bug report and was told that it was the fact that I am using a custom UI. I use ThorUI (and absolutely love it =)) and am not about to get rid of the whole thing for that, so I just keep an eye out for the bugged spells and cancel them as fast as I can. It does seem to be happening less frequently now for whatever reason.</span>

To me this isn't a game issue at all, rather one of player skill. If you are paying attention to what you're doing it really isn't a problem and honestly it would bother me if my spells that are in que got canceled because the tank changed targets. I want to be in control of whether or not my spells are cancelled.

Pay attention and be careful what you queue.
