I remember some time ago when I used to play you could put in your own WAV files in place of the generic EQ2 music and kind of create your own sound track to the game, which was really neat (if a bit time consuming)

Can you still do that? And if so, is there a thread pointing out how to go about it? It's been so long I kinda forgot and I don't want to corrupt any file and mess my game up and have to go through the pain of re-installing it.

From what I have been told, I believe you need to rename the files you want to hear the exact same name as the default, and then drop them in the appropriate folder to overwrite (or replace) what was there before. So, if you want to listen to Yngwie Malmsteen while in the Enchanted Lands, remove EL_soundtrack.wav from the folder, rename your Yngwie song to EL_soundtrack, and drop it in. Obviously, filenames are fictional, but that's how the process was explained to me, never tried it myself though. I've also been told that you may need to do this *after* logging into the game, as the patcher may update/overwrite/replace any changes you made, but I cannot confirm it.

It should still work. I copied the instructions from the old forum here: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=350896 Othesus - Dirge - Lucan DLere Vaspar - Fury - Lucan DLere

How about that infernal rain sound? Can I overwrite that too?
