<p>HAH! </p><ul><li>Open, sez me! Proximity-sensitive doors in Qeynos crafting instances now open when you walk near them! </li></ul><p>I totally missed that one! OH! I am so thankful for that little fix. </p><p>To my disgrace I have never been able to do a Alchemist Rush Writ. I have always failed by mere seconds. <img src="/smilies/499fd50bc713bfcdf2ab5a23c00c2d62.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>Woodworker / Tailor & FP Provisioner .. no problem but My Alchemist has always failed them .. without going to an outside Crafting Station, that is. </p><ul><li>Waddling at the end of a writ? Introducing weightless coin! </li></ul><p>*smacks Dellmon* Yes, Dellmon, there is a darn good reason for self-shuffling coin, in this game! Try walking around with a lvl 10 Conj / 63 Sage after doing a few hundred writs .. oh sure my halfing looks like she is running but really .. she is walking .. very, very, very, very .. sloooowly ... </p><p>Thank you Devs! This is the only item I really have to "yawn" on. Yes, it's nice we can craft Chocolate & Cheescake again but .. Food (<i>vs drink</i>) has very little value in game and stat-less food has even less value. So, it is only really good for pure RP'g and Crafting Pristine Bonus. Don't get me wrong .. Fluff is Fun! Oh WOW YAY for the crafting doors! *runs off to find someone who can make this possible for houses too* I don't know how many times I'm just trying to decorate and the stupid door closes on me while I'm trying to shove everything in a room! Oh, and Quote: I wish they would just patch that part through tomorrow! /quote QFE!

They do have perfectly valid uses, but getting the "rare item!" notification for them was a serious let-down for many.

I'm one of the players who reads and re-reads and scours forums and listens at doors... but rarely says much. However, this coming update and the great post Naimi has shared is cause enough for me to pound a bit on the keyboard with a ton of YAYs!! and a million Thank Yous to the devs for finally giving us something I can sink my teeth into, and to Naimi for once again providing me with invaluable info. My fav part of the game is crafting and I feel that spark of interest that has been woefully missing of late. I can't wait! Ruthillia and her alts (AB)

<p>whee! I'm excited for these changes to go live. Auto-opening doors will be MARVELOUS!! I play over a satellite connection and there is quite a lot of lag between double clicking on a door and when it opens for me. This seriously ate into the time I had for timed writs, so I gave them up - they were too stressful! Looks like I'll have to try them again! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>(And YAY for the 'rare' noise going away when you harvest a stupid not-really-rare-fake-you-out-shimmering/glimmering thingy).</p>

This is something I added to the article just now, so I figured it'd bear repeating over here: <span style="font-size: medium">Come On Baby, Light My Fire</span> Were you one of the many who was disappointed when the Rujarkian Firepit and Rujarkian Signal Fire were, well, not full of fire? Not even a single tiny spark? Did you do creative contortions with raised platforms and ebon sconces to make your firepit at least <i>seem</i> like it had flames ... or was that just me? Well, watch out for your curtains, rugs and other flammables, because they're on fire! The firepit gives off flames and a small amount of smoke. The signal fire is bright embers and enough smoke for you to send smoke signals seen two zones away, just like something called a "signal" fire should! In the words of the Human Torch, "Flame on!"

<p>They used Control-click for the dressing room (although adding the dressing room to the right-click menu might have been easier for newbies to find). This will be great for my Tailoring and Carpentering customers, and for myself when shopping.</p><p>I also read that Alt-click on an item does something - auto-adds to trade window and something else. But perhaps you wouldn't consider that a tradeskill change.</p><p>Now if I only could put up a "whiteboard" in the sales area of my home, so I could leave messages for my customers and friends, and they could too.</p><p>Or if we could open one of our house vault slots to be available "deposit-only" to the public, so I could make large deliveries to a customer's house, instead of using many emails.</p>

While this is one way to get Pristine relaibly, it really slows down your progress. Try mixing in some of the Progress Arts too.

When are we getting this on live anyways? *is impatient* You know, I never really thought about different crafting techniques and I'll try to describe this as best I can. You can usually count heartbeats and tell when there might or might not be a counter tick. When I get a counter tick, I will hit the proper one with my highest durabilty, then before the tick ends, spam my other two progress counters. Don't worry if you miss or hit the incorrect one. If you critically fail and your table turn red, your progress bar hits yellow it's time to play the panic game *cheer* Now spam the progress buttons until you run out of power and your durability is at least 1/4 way in green, then return to button mashing your progress. I usually end up with a good 3-4 minutes to spare. Granted, I am Qeynosian. I am not sure how big a factor the spacing between the desk and how far away your table is would be a factor. In fact, as Freeportians don't have to worry about doors you should be able to craft with a little more leeway than even I, yes? Edit: missed commas.

Ok so i don't post much as a matter of fact this may be my first, but i have a question here. I am an up and coming carpenter (currently 29), is there currently or will there be elaborate lounge type chairs or couches. I have seen some benches but they are backless. I am sure the benches are better in higher tiers though. Ooh Ooh and while i have the soap box it would be soo cool if you could sit on said items. ok done now
