High quality Music

<p>Dear Dev's</p><p>i find it really sad that all music in the game is in a lousy 128kbit mp3 format</p><p>the music score of this game is great, it would be nice with an option for high quality music, </p><p> for example in the launcher prefferences where the options for additional NPC voices, AD. packs etc are.</p><p>a HQ VBR or at least a 224kbit mp3 format would be highly appreciated</p><p>what say you?</p>

<p>I copied custom music into my EQ2 directories a long time ago.  I tend to prefer Rock for combat and instrumental for zones.  It takes about 1-2 eavenings to set this up and you can enjoy forever.</p><p>The custom music is one of the best qualities of EQ2 that keeps me coming back.  Hopefully a guide for this is still posted somewhere as it is rather complicated.</p><p>PS.  Once you have custom music setup, backup that copy of EQ2 on another hard drive.  That way when you re-install, just copy that old version and you'll never have to muddle with music again.</p>

(( i say get Laura Karpman back who did the orchestrated REAL music, and make some super high quality stuff like the orchestrated stuff from the original EQ2 launch !Guild wars has Jeremy soule, hes awesome, does fully orchestrated stuff for every game and expansion. (And guild wars generates less money for Arenanet cos there is no monthly fees! With the revenues SOE has they should be able to hire a real orchestra to do the audio pieces, instead of simulated synthesized stuff that sounds like 1998.Yes, Inon Zur is good, (hes doing the most recent music since EOF right? Or am i thinking of someone else.... anyways, real orchestrated stuff is always best 8-)
