<p>I have decided to make a druid and the thing that is going to make my choice is which as better casting ability as far as DPS. I really like how the warden has the 2 DD's both the cold and fire one. Furies i dont really have experience with but from what i hear they have better DPS? Any clarification on which? oh also this is single target DPS, mainly for a solo toon with some instances/grouping. no raiding</p>

<p>The thing about the nukeing warden is you can actually use your roots .... <img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> .... we have the best in the game "period"</p><p>Alot of Wardens soloed just fine with root&nuke before they gave us the mele option <img src="/smilies/e8a506dc4ad763aca51bec4ca7dc8560.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

melee option for wardens will provide more dps (just because it's supported by a much higher crit chance and 2 AA trees versus nearly half the crit chance and only one AA tree for the nukers), though it's riskier for a soloer unless you get realllly good gear and spell upgrades. Fury is the higher dps when nuking and in AE fights, but warden will have a safer time when soloing and an easier time acting as a group's sole healer, even if they're running a dps spec.

<p>The likelihood you will need both warden root lines is remote. Since furies also get root and they have significantly higher nuking DPS, you would be wiser to pursue the fury line if you want to nuke. </p><p>Fury group intelligence buffs are preferred by casters in raids. The warden wisdom group buff is never sought after. During encounters with AoE mobs (most of the named mobs), raid leaders don't want healers in melee range. This makes warden melee ability situational at best.</p>

So if he wants to nuke, he needs to choose greater safety or greater dps, unless he takes melee line as a warden and lives with the lesser nuking ability for the tougher mobs that can't be tanked. Should also mention furies [Removed for Content] their healing ability temporarily for a big boost to dps with one of their AA lines (think 45s duration and 1:30 recast or something like that, but it boosts dps/power costs by 50% and reduces healing by 50%.. nice buff, but is also situational imo). Both druids have their strong points for soloing/small grouping.. just a matter of which druid fits you better since both are balanced just fine outside of raids.
