Hullo -- I was interested in returning to eq2 (vanguard disappointment is irqsome), but wanted to play in a pvp environment. I will be playing on venekor, but it is hard for me to choose between fury and warden. I have looked around a little and both look fun, but if someone can give me a short list on strength ond weaknesses that is current in PvE and PvP, that would be awesome. I think i am kind of leaning towarde warden. Also, i like to play unusual combinations of race/class. Ogre scouts, etc. I was hinking of may7be a female dwarf for a druid, but a little concerned how the low int will impact me especially at the beginning. So, any help any of you vets can give would be awesome

It's kind of hard to say - so much depends on your play style (solo or group?), what you hope to accomplish in a PvP environment (will you play the PvE game with the extra added element that you might have a PK fight at any time...or will you go all out hunting pvp to get those rewards..?), and what you want out of the class you are playing.

Both druids have a ton of utility that really does do well in PvP fights, but if you are going to play the PvE content too, I don't think you should lose sight of the fact that whichever of the 2 you choose , you are still A Healer (tm). Do you want to play that role? Lots of people don't - especially in a PvP environment where sound tactics in any pvp fight include Killing the Healer First.

My advice is to peruse not only these forums but the PvP ones, and the Venekor ones to see what you think would suit you best. We discuss Warden in both environments pretty much in depth, you could get a feel for which subclass of Druid you might like based on some of those things that you read. It's kind of hard to state definitively chapter and verse what 'the best' would be ..since there are so many variables.

As for Unusual Race/Class combinations, I have to say on Venekor ...Skree has Ogre Assassin sewn up pretty much, and our very own Apple (the new Warden) has Halfling Scout (Brigand or Swash..she can't decide..::grin: nailed down tight. Also, low INT isn't going to really be an issue for you at the lower levels. It's WIS that you are concerned with there - and there is just not a whole lot measurable difference that even lower leveled gear can't compensate.

I've got 70 Defiler and 70 Evil Warden on Venekor, both Dark Elf (but that's not unusual ) Good luck on your choice!
