EQ2 has detected an unrecoverable error and must [Removed for Content] down.

I went to a friends house to mess around and when I went to show him the new Neriak I was unable to log into EQ2.  I kept getting the error message: Everquest2 has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown. <verify> D:liveeq2frameworkcoredevicessrcDirectX9RenderDevi ce.cpp (1013): Failed to create D3D device for NVIDIA GeForcce 7600 GS. My Hard drive is C: my DVD drive is D:.  Never had this problem until I went to a friends house. Any help would be appreciated.

Reboot and it will go away... if it keeps happening you should post your dxconfig and the other thing this forum asks for. Make sure you dont have too many program running in the background.

Also make sure nothing got loose inside the case when you moved your comp to your friends

check that you have the latest driver version from nvidia. if not uninstall the old one and do a clean install of the new driver. if u have the newest driver uninstall and reinstall from clean install to make sure the driver was not corrupted. also make sure the video card is firmly seated.

Maybe too simple of a solution for ya, but if you happened to have moved your eq2.ini settings to that other computer, the resolution may be set to an incompatible mode (this happens to me when I switch display to a TV that I use at a friends house).  Once the patcher has ran, go into preferences and set the resolution to something compatible with your display (usually highest resolution is preferable, and will be compatible (that list doesn't show incompatible settings))
