New video card???

<p>Ok, i know nothing about computers, all i know is that when i turn it on it is suposed to work properly...  So which is a better set up for a video card?   Dual 256MB nVidia GeForce 8600 GTS  or  768MB Nvidia GeForce 8800 Ultra?  which one will be the best performance for gaming?</p>

<p>The 768Mb single would be better just because of the extra memory. However, there are a couple of things to consider. For the dual vid-card option, you need to be sure your motherboard supports a dial video card set up like SLI. </p><p>Also, viewing this forum there are several threads about performance issues with the 8800. Not having one of those cards I haven't read them, but I would consider doing so before committing to the 8800 Ultra.</p>
