This is an issue that is caused by an "Stateful Packet Inspection" (SPI) firewall.  Most likely, this type of firewall is in your router, but may be a function of your motherboard, if it has an nVidia nForce4 chipset. If you do have a router, please ensure that you deactivate SPI.  You will still have firewall protection through the NAT functionality of your router, if you are worried about turning off SPI.

Ok well my router Microsoft MN-700 doesn't let you disable the SPI option, I have bypassed it and EQ2 runs fine, but that means other PC's in the house can't connect hehe, so either I dump Vista, or buy a new router, which really don't wanna do either....this is the only tiime I have issues tho, is when changing gear or opening bags, I guess my question is  is there anything that can be done server side to keep this from happening ?
