What will happen if an x4 raid is engaged with a PvE encounter and then a PvP group or raid comes to try to stop the x4. Will the x4 raiding pve content have their skills changed to PvP abilities? If this happens it will almost be impossible to kill a raid mob with one player or a group of players on the raid.

Huh? This happens all the time and the answer is, the raid has to deal with it. Or are you asking something else? BTW...one of the reason drag was removed I would think.

Lets say the x4 is engaged with the contested mob....and some opposing faction, may it be a solo player or a group tries to interfere, wil the ruleset change to pvp against the x4 encounter. good question imo. since when they try to screw with the raid encounter by attacking the raid itself, and if someone from the raid engages the opposing faction will it switch the ruleset and make the dps drop below standards for the encounter?

I think he means if someone comes and engages your raid, do all your abilities suddenly switch to the values they have when they are pvp checked. I presume they would be as soon as someone takes a hostile action or heal someone involved in the pvp, until the pvp threat is taken care of/raid wipes.

A good question yes, and one that many friends have asked as they roam the raid world and I just craft stuff for them .... hehe

Actually we tested this on test a few moments ago and when fighting a regular heroic mob, and a pvp group trys to gank you, while fighting the mobs your combat arts are in the PvP rule set, I.E. meaning less dmg. If you eliminate the PvP threat your spells are still in PvP rule set until the encounter ends.

This needs to be fixed as there are some contested raid mobs where max DPS is a neccessity.

The heals that go off on the MT will switch into pvp mode and be reduced (because the healer is now "engaged" in pvp). Anyone that would engage you would have their damage/heals reduced to pvp damage until you were killed. Once you/your group/your raid were dead, they would be out of pvp-combat and able to proceed with their normal damage/healing. Its one of the reasons a solo person can wipe raids if they can find a set of good targets to get into pvp combat.
