These are the changes for the brawler tree in the next live update.

Starter - Favorable Wind: Affects all non-mount movement speed.

Strength 3 - Relentless Punches: Renamed to Eye of the Tiger: No longer requires unarmed. Increases all combat art damage by 0.75% per rank.

Strength 4 - Claw Reversal: Renamed to Tiger Body: Increases physical mitigation instead of Riposte chance.

Strength 5 - Chi: Improved casting speed bonus from 75 to 100%, Recovery speed bonus from 33.3% to 100%, Removed all penalties when Chi expires.

Agility 3 - Ambidexterity: Increased reuse speed bonus from 1 to 1.5% per rank.

Agility 5 - Altruism: Improved reuse speed from 15 minutes to 5 minutes, increases hate positions towards entire encounter twice. Increased health of targeted ally by 10% instead of 5%.

Stamina 5 - Mantis Leap: Removed power cost. It can also teleport to a target ally or object. Reuse speed increased from 60s to 45s.

Wisdom 3 - Bamboo Twirl: Doubled proc rate to 2% per rank, but slightly reduced damage.

Wisdom 5 - Crane Flock: Increased reuse speed from 5 minutes to 3 minutes.

STR line rant: The CA damage increase is only .75%. This is only 6% increase in CAs is a very weak improvement for our low damage CAs. Why not keep double attack but make it for all weapons? (of course it would be a lower %) This AA needs to give 1.5% to even be on par with the AGI line which helps out on more than simply offensive abilities. for this reason I believe having this AA at 1.8% per point would make it on par with agi and other rank 3 abilities. The mit given with 8 points is only 321 mit on test. This is not enough to make the rest of the useless tree worth while. The mit given needs to be at least 100 more for this tree to even be considered. Tanking brawlers really need more mit which everyone knows that is our biggest downfall. Even with a mit bonus from a conj we do not have enough to tank on par with warriors for even single target mobs. As it is if I would go down this line at all it would be to get 4448 for the mit and as I said 321 mit is not enough to entice anyone to do this. even if other changes are made to this tree the mit bonus should be at least 400 even though I think 500 is what we really need. (Having 500 mit would mean every brawler would go for this ability needing it does not mean it should be in this line but having 400-420 mit would make this line a real option for brawlers who wish to tank. It would be focused on CAs which pull even more of our dps when we are tanking and could give even more mit. The end ability would still be a joke to get but if CAs would be improved a reasonable amount and the mit bonus would be 400 I could see all the brawlers who wish to tank especially in a raid setting using this line. - Random thought/edit) The end ability in STR, casting speed and recovery is still a joke even with the improvements the entire idea of Chi needs to be revamped. Any simple temp buff would be cool. DPS/Haste/crit/double attack/reuse/"proc for CAs" ect these would all work for burst damage. AGI line rant: The CA reuse is a decent improvement for this line. 12% reduction on all CAs is a worth while option. Altruism, if I am understanding it, now has an even better use as a hate generation ability. I will have to test out the AGI line for this reason. STA: Of all things to be changed they change the end ability from being completely useless in pve to being completely useless in pve on a shorter reuse timer. ATM I am down the STA and INT line. I do not have this end ability in STA line and this change will not entice me even in the slightest to get it over 2.5 deflection. Wis: I have yet to see the reduced damage numbers. I am willing to bet it will still break mez and pull stuff along the entire Z axis so now we can have accidents twice as often. End ability the reuse is really cool burst damage AA and great for tanking. After they change all dual wield to being 1 handers this AA will even be better with even more powerful for monks who are forced to use dual wield because the only good two handers are out of HOS (never even seen one drop but I hear three do) and a single avatar, until the future raid zone I hope.
I will try the AGI line out to see how much of an improvement it gives over having STA as my secondary line. I believe in the end I will take the wis line as my second line after all dual wield are changed to one handers so the primary weapon will be doing even more dps for the end wis ability. I do not think any of these changes compare to warriors gaining a three minute tsunami and passive 40% barrage if they choose to even though they are all complaining about a 10% double attack loss. -- The [Removed for Content] Monk

Basically, from what I can tell, all they did with these changes that has any positive effect is the lowered timer on crane flock, and the possible combo with crane twirl.

With the CA bonus dmg from the str line (which is still something i disagree with, but this might be what they were thinking), the dmg from the crane twirl might be closer to the original damage it's currently at. With the ambidexterity change as well, they basically made crane twirl's proc % twice as much as it is now. That's the only real bonus i see out of it. After the update, we can use crane twirl at near the same dmg, twice as often as before.

This is a small help to our AE agro gaining skills, and ups our dps by a small amount, but really doesn't change much. I would still much pref to have our double attack back, as denying brawlers natural double attack makes no sense whatsoever. Also, although we could use the mit bonus, it just isn't enough to be helpful, and I'd much prefer it having remained a riposte bonus since we are the "dodge and counterattack" type of fighter.
