Hiya, all.

Building a new system to the tune of: Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 2.13GHz

2GB 800MHz ram

Gigabyte GA-965p-DS3 MB

Am not looking at spending 300+ on a graphics card, but I'm looking for something that runs decently. I'm used to playing on a ATI mobile radeon X600 on my HP zd8000 notebook, so I'm certain I can find something that outperforms it easily.

I'm reading a lot about the BFG nvidia 7900GS OC (which has a great rebate atm, making the card like 100$), but also hearing about 8600GT and ATI X1950 Pro cards for about 100-200$.

My largest concern right now is the performance of EQ2, so I'm pretty open right now to entertain suggestions on either a specific card or perhaps even a "Go ATI" or "Go nVidia" vote.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Seriously, anything over a 7600 is overkill. I'd get the 7900 and be happy

Providing your motherboard can handle PCI Express, other then that go with the 7900 series card
