My guess is that it will go Live, at best, the end of June or, at worst, early to mid July. There is a lot in the GU and a lot that might need to be tweaked or at least fully tested out.

They are doing their best to release updates approximately 1 month apart. From this i would say the earliest gu36 would go live would be 2 weeks today (27th june) to possibly a week after, assuming no major bugs surface during testing.

I can only suggest patience. I play test regularly. Was on for several hours yesterday and filed 2 bug reports and a feedback. GU36 has a lot to offer but is still very rough around the edges. Give us some time on test to smooth things out first.

If the OP is that eager why not make a character or two on test and get a first look at everything, including some things that never make it into game.

The only answer you'll get between now and two days before release is "When it's ready." GU36 really is on test server to be tested.

If you want to see the changes and testing process, you can create your own test toons.

There is no application process for the test servers. If you have an account, you have access to the test server. Go into your EQII folder and open the test server folder. In there is a readme file that instucts on how to modify your software to access the test servers. It's basically a process of creating another copy of the game and the shortcut to access that copy.

Be warned, the test server is developer active. They will grab you to test things despite your busy adventure schedule.

I would probably suspect probably the 1st week of July?

I'm kind of excited about it being released. I didn't know that we were going to be able to change TS.

Where is the information about it? Is there a site/link that shows the possible changes?

The GU36 preview is on the EQ2 Players website. I find it worthwhile to check every day (sometimes twice) to stay up-to-date on the latest goings-on.

You can also check the Test Update Notes board, as well as the In Testing Feedback board. They're both good sources for finding out about possible upcoming changes to the live servers as well as reading about how the testing community feels about them.

Actually the hate feed nerf is a direct nerf to every one since the less hate that can be feed to the tank the less dps every one will be able to do. I was looking forward to this update also till i heard the words we are going to try and make other AA lines better. Which i read to be we will nerf all the other lines to the point that the worse lines now look better and i was right. Starting to feel like 1 to many nerf bats to me!

It's a bunch of crappy nerfs either reducing DPS of classes or reducing their ability to get rid of or transfer aggro. Anybody with half a brain can see that raids are going to be a complete mess with aggro all over the place if this goes live as is.

And you don't have a problem with this, nice. I personally think it's a load of crap that we get stuck in an endless cycle of getting nerfed to work up to exactly where we were before time after time. It's not really fun whatsoever and SOE has so much potential to make it possible to progress and be fun without nerfing everybody.

Hmmm, mixed feelings... On the downside: OMG, My hate transfer is being nerfed, I'm gonna die so much >.< Upside: Looks like doing dps will require more than just pressing attacky buttons quickly, now I have to press both attacky and deaggro buttons quickly. This is making the game harder, to do that requires reduction in player power compared to mobs.

Rethink why you play and if its not "because you enjoy it", then nothing anyone says can change your opinion. I promise you nerfs are not arbitrary or malicious. There is always a more significant reason for it. The sky isnt falling. Raids wont grind to a halt. And people won't quit in droves. People will adapt.

Now, #3 is a bit extreme, #2 is also extreme (to a lesser extent), so that leaves you with #1 =P Seriously though, if you want a static game that has a guaranteed unchanging design, pick up a playstation.

I am excited about this upate, as the "nerfs" don't look too severe. I am glad to see that they are making more AA lines desirable. I am excited about the closet feature as well, so this is going to be a pretty good update.

Crap happens. Just enjoy the game and don't worry about it. Most people forget nerfs ever happen about 2 or 3 weeks later. For christs sake, at least it adds a new spin to the game. Otherwise, it ends up being the same stagnant combat for the past 2 years. Just breath a little and enjoy it or take a break, either way it's going to happen.
I was reading the update notes waiting for test to load and there is indeed alot of nerf backs to classes and aa lines. They're going down the different lines and hacking. What I don't get is pvp has a buffer to test all the slice and dicing they're doing to the classes over there but theres no buffer to test any of the content thats coming out with the next expansion.

I am not really worried.. and I am in some ways glad for this change. It shouldnt be a "mash the buttons til you win" thing.. nor should keeping aggro be as easy as sticking a hate battery in the group. People SHOULD have to manage their hate generation.. this isn't a race to the end.. its a cooperative effort to achieve a goal, and with some of the hate transfer setups it is more like the former than it should be.. So far, after all my time in the game, I do see that the developers are trying to end up with fair and balanced mechanics... and I see this as moving towards that goal.. it may not be perfect out the gate, first passes rarely are.. but I am confident that they will keep at it and tweak it as things go to make things equitable and the like. In other words, give em a chance and see what happens, if it isn't perfect, make suggestions about change... ranting and condemnations are not gonna fix anything.. all they do is get people (including devs) to tune you out.

I see the hate nerf as making raid more challenging. I view this as a good thing.
