It would be good if, when you examine the books on sale that give quests, there was a quest level number in brackets. I didn't buy any of those books till i'd saved a bit of cash up and found a few of the quests were already grey. If i'd seen the levels when i first looked i'd have bought those ones earlier.

Also a lot of the book quests end up being pretty annoying. The actual idea is cool and most of the actual stories are interesting to read as you go through ther pages but the annihilation of mobs required turns them into a chore after a while. Simply too many mobs. The reward of those quests isn't that high--a fun alternative for people who like to collect them and like to read the stories. I don't think it should turn into such a drag. I'm guessing people who ike the idea of the book quests are probably people who are doing them precisely because they don't get a buzz out of mindlessly slaughtering legions of mobs. After doing a few i deleted most of the rest that looked like they were going to follow the same pattern. Which is a shame as the stories themselves were well done imo.

Also, more specifically the numbers of mobs per page should reflect the number of mobs of that type that are available. For example, one of the Karath Smoothmane ones had you killing four types of mobs that spawned roughly in 4:3:2:1 proportions (very roughly but you get the idea) but you have to kill ten of each type at each stage. I think the numbers you have to get should reflect the proportions.

Neat idea. Some good little stories. But a lot of them turn into a chore after the 6th page or so. 8/6/4 mobs per page, depending on rarity, would be better imo.

So as not to be too negative, enjoyed the "Rat Queen" and "Trials of Sir Morgan"

Thats why they changed nearly every book quest in the game to a collection quest just like picking up shineys off the ground.

Also, the level of the quest, just mentor someone when you click on that 10th page so you get more achievement XP with the quest being blue to yellow.

Not sure what you mean with your first point. Dunno what the original book quests were like

As to the second that's kind of the opposite of the point i was making in a way. I'd like to get *some* exp as a reward for completing the quest but the main motivation is getting to the end of the story. I think that's an ok reward (i still did the grey ones), just that some of them are too much of a grind.

In many zones now you have a ! collectable like the ? shinies. You collect all the pages and when you turn in the collection the rewards are completed books for your home. Unfortunately those books dont have status reduction and get shoved into vaults typically. READ HERE DEVS - PLEASE ADD STATUS REDUCTION TO BOOKS.
