I noticed that in the mess of the topic regarding the next update, there was a novel suggestion of removing the AA cap at some level, such as 30/35/40. I think this is a great idea, since in these tiers and higher players should be [Removed for Content] well ready for pvp. I think by then you can stop the carebear act of limiting earned AA. Anyways it is much more likely that this tier players earned more than the 1.5X AA cap through legitamate methods.

I'm a 38 Guardian on Naggy with 67AA(this patch will nerf 10 AA of me)

Is it really neccessary to put an AA cap in past level 30, or even 50? There should be jacked characters out there in the world. Players who are extremely hardcore and put days and days into there character should be rewarded for their effort, even if they don't want to be T7. It seems ridicolous that a lvl 60 character could only have 90AA.

In all honesty, the AA cap just isn't going to affect T2/T3 that much, where permantely level locking is the greatest "problem" you people bring up. It will simply make it completely gear dependent, favoring the plat buyers. Expect to see prorated T2 fabled like pestilent javelin selling for more plat than ever.

Back when i was in T2/T3(i'm in the end of T4 now), i survived only because i had more AA than the average perma locked individual. I never exp debted however, just quest grinded till my eyes bled. I feel bad for the future upcoming T2/T3 newbs, because now they won't have there option. You used to be able to tell new players to grind AA and then they would be good or at least on par with lockers. Now you might as well tell them to go buy 200plat online and buy some ridicolous pro rated fabled.

Why I reposted this as a seperate post? ~ There is just so much going on in the next update, and I believe this AA cap, and the way it affects the middle tiers, should be addressed seperately. If the mods don't think so, I'll understand if you just lock it or delete it.

This isn't my idea, I just thought it deserved better attention

the XP debt removal will affect T2/T3.

The AA cap will affect T4-T7.

I think their intention is to remove the power from locked players of all tiers, not just low tiers.

Mission accomplished.

I agree that the AA cap should be unlocked, and I am completely against the 1.5x increment. AA is no differnet than taking the time to master out, get pvp gear, all fabled gear, etc. It's just another investment of time that makes your character stronger, a concept which this game is fundamentally rooted in (like fabled items, pvp faction, and master 1's), however at least AA provide a depth to strategy one can employ to their character development and provides such an outlet for those who do like T7 gameplay (either becasue of the people, time investment, development, etc.). One point though Squishy what do you mean by: "Anyways it is much more likely that this tier players earned more than the 1.5X AA cap through legitamate methods." The only thing that wasn't 'legitimate' was the candy cane game which only a handful of people got more than 7 AA from. My 24 SK just got his 46th AA. He played teh Candy Cane game for the tune of about 3-4 AA, but I can tell you in my search to get AA at a low level through locking, exiling, etc. I have encountered many quests which did not give AA, and therefore deflated my ratio to an extent that the candy game would not place me higher than anyone else is possible at acheiving at my level. I disagree with you that this won't affect T2/T3 players. You can get 70+ AA before level 30, and 100 by lvl 35. It affects us all and I hope this change is not implemented... I've been (as many others have too) working on my character for 8 months... that's an awful lot of wasted time...

I think 2 points per level is more than reasonable.

I think they should make it 1 AA per level. I think it is also unfair for guilds to be able to work extremely hard and get the best gear. Yes I understand that it takes a lot of time to kill epic mobs and complete lengthly quests but I dont have that kind of time so I think everyone should be held back, that is only fair.
