So I grew tired of the blue server and have rolled up a new bruiser on Venekor. He's a huge level 9 right now and about to ding into 10 where he can get AA's.

My thought was to build up the STR line so my fists become weapons of destruction, but what do you all think? The EoF aa's can add 25% more dmg to a number of my attacks.

Keeping in mind I'll probably buy the best player made weapons possible for my level, do you think I'd see more dps out of the EoF AA's to increase dmg or the STR line to make auto attack dmg higher?

Also bear in mind the player made weapons will proc 100ish dmg. And I plan on sitting at lvl 16ish to build up my faction with PVP before I go too far.

Thanks in advance!

~Malv

Keep in mind that they're changing PvP quite a bit in the next update. You will only be able to spend (level * 1.5) AA points (24 if you lock at 16), and there will be no such thing as XP debt. Level locking will be a lot harder and will be a lot less beneficial. That said, I've always preferred the KoS AAs to the EoF AAs, since the KoS ones seem to give more bang for the buck. Having 96% double attack and +20 DPS trumps buffing a few of your CAs in my book. If you're set on using weapons, I'd still go with something like crits from the INT line over the EoF CA buffs.

Thanks for the reply. I knew they were limiting aa's to 1.5 * level but didn't know they were doing away with xp debt.... hows that work? or am I reading that wrong?

I guess the Crit hits would be a better route to go than the EoF aa's.

So another question; what you think about having crit aa's + MC weapons, vrs unarmed?

According to this thread at least, they are removing XP debt. I guess that means when you die, you just take an armor hit and get teleported to the zone in. I haven't read all 40 pages of the thread, so if they changed their minds about the debt, so be it. General

XP debt has been removed from pvp servers.

I like the unarmed, especially at low levels:

The +20 DPS doesn't scale, so at level 16 or whatever when our self buff is only like 10 DPS it's a hefty buff.

Weapons at lower tiers suck, the best you're going to get is a fairly low damage proc.

You have very few CAs, so you spend more time auto-attacking than you might at higher levels.

Although, at low levels you might only have like 100 STR or something, and the stats you miss out on from going bare handed might be missed. I'd say try both. A pair of MC weapons won't cost too much, and respecs are practically free. Go out and punch some orcs and see what you like best.

You're full of great ideas! I'll do just that. What could it hurt? You're right respec's are cheap. So might as well. Though I will point out MC weapons are over 2 plat each on pvp servers. Jerks. Guess I should be a weapon smith

I'll probably go with STR and leave it at that.

Personally I swear by str spec as a lvl 17 locked bruiser.

If you hurry up now before the pvp changes I'de also say try to take the str line all the way to the end, chi is amazing in pvp.

But once the changes go live you're going to need to be lvl 17 to spend enough aa to use chi, and 17 is a better lvl to lock at anyway imo. bruising strike will be your most damaging single CA.

Right now I am 4-4-8-8-2 str with 27aa, and as was said above, auto attack damage applies a big bonus in this teir since you won't have too many CAs and they're all on a relatively high cool down. I have about 150str, 1100hp, and 60.2% avoidance, so i'm not missing the weapon stats too much.

If you want to go the weapon route though, don't use MC if you're going to lock at 16/17, there are some nice lvl 15 and 17 legendary weaps that will easily out dmg MCs since they're only lvl 12 weapons.

But, I guess just try out what you want, I like str, I know those that swear by int, and wis too actually (If you like knocking people off cliffs But honestly, I don't know many who go down EoF lines first, just so much cool stuff in KoS lines imo

Hope this helps a little, and welcome to pvp XD

With 150 str at lvl 17 how much dmg do your fists do? At 16 with 128 str my crappy lvl 12 MC weapons do 34-50. And i have 13% chance to crit (only 15 aa's atm).
