had these two issues
1. When launching EQ2 after hitting "Play" on the patcher my patcher will crash instead of closing out and I have to force close the patcher.
Problem signature:

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

Application Name: LaunchPad.exe

Application Version: 0.0.0.0

Application Timestamp: 4615325b

Fault Module Name: EQ2Module.dll

Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0

Fault Module Timestamp: 46533008

Exception Code: c0000005

Exception Offset: 00081170

OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3

Locale ID: 1033

Additional Information 1: e85d

Additional Information 2: 0771c23a23e33efe9c269c193d0a0d3e

Additional Information 3: c7d0

Additional Information 4: c833d376ec4b28a87bcc4bb8289d009f

2. After hitting "Play" on the patcher I get a blue screen with the following message : PFN_LIST_CORRUPT stop 0x0000004e

The first issue happens 4 out of 5 times launching the game. The second issue happens 1 outta 10 times or so.

The server operating system version's don't have the DisableTaskOffload registry entry and only goes to show that dedicated NIC's is the way to go for performance. What I don't understand is that alot of server based computer's use on-board Ethernet controller's as well, and yet there is no registry entry with the server version of the operating system to make use of the NIC processor. Makes me think that the OS can automatically detect it.

What I did not venture to know is that the desktop version of these operating system's has this registry entry and I can see why since all desktop computer's come with on-board NIC's.

I have always advocated running computer's with dedicated NIC's for the sheer fact that they buffer and process Ethernet packets leaving other processor intensive instructions for the mainboard CPU.

Thanks for sharing your findings!
