Had my computer fixed recently and needed to ask a tech question. Will Trend Micro Antvirus 2007 or Webroot Spy Sweeper interfer with EverQuest II?

If you do not do this, you may run into stuttering on the UI when opening windows, etc. I run dual isntances of eq2 with the AV loaded with no problems. It is fairly easy to configure the realtime scanner to ignore these directories.

Webroot SpySweeper have not heard of before, so cannot say yes or no on that one.

How would I go about configuring the TMAV to ignore real time data transfer between the eq2directory and the net? Is it as easy as rightclicking something or do I have to go into something to do it?

Noticed a bit of a slowdown last night; however it could be attributed to zone difficulties. Nektulos forest was one since there were like 10-15 players congregating near the goblin guy. Went to TS and had 1-2 fits then it stopped almost instantly.

Unfortunately my scanner must be different because I can't locate that feature. However I have rarely encountered slowdowns so it may already be configured. My slowdowns have coinsided with my guildmates slowdowns so this makes me think it is server based.

Know it happened routinely in Nektulos forest last night. Had a few problems in TS but it was only once or twice then it smoothed out. Have a feeling my system is still settling down and once it gets back into it's initial operation it'll be fine.

Thanks for the answers though and if it becomes a problem i'll know where to go.
