64 Master II Choice ...Frigid Gift?

I was thinking about going down the ice-shape path for aas  so the level 64 master II choice of Frigid Gift seemed ideal.   Is this the case or should I pick iceshield instead?

Persoanlly I went with Glacial Wind as my master 2 choice, but then again lookin gback I am glad I did as I have almost never seen Glacial Wind master on the broker, but Ice Shield and Frigid Gift I see up there all the time.

<p>i would say no to iceshield. I think the diffrence is very very small. less than 10 if i rember. I picked Glacial Wind as my master 2 choice also. not just more damage but increase chance to hit. </p>

What the heck was the other option...  I think i took protoferno here? pardon if I'm thinking the wrong tier, but as I recall I went back and took protoferno because it was by and far the least marketed spell of them all. glacial wind was relatively common, iceshield less so but available, frigid gift i already had, and protoferno... well, it was just never anywhere.  i will point out however, that is was 2 respecs later that I chose it, my original choice was Glacial Wind, then Iceshield when iceshield was proving to be more frequently used.

If you're poor like me and won't have all masters, I'd say Iceshield.

I have done the iceshape aa line, and love it. I raid with a troub and a bunch of pet clases in my group, so it frigid gift is awsome for dps, for non raiders I don't think the iceshape is the best option. That said, I have iceshild as my master 2 choise as it is simply a great spell, 3 k defacto agrotransfere, that is just lovely <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> /Ithile BB

<p>I went with protoferno in the end...the dmg increase is nice, lands on the mob more.  I wish I had recorded some data to figure out the effective gain from M1 to M2, but I'm sure it was about as insignificant as Iceshield, which I had formerly.  I hadn't thought about messing with those now with iceshape, but that could work out well.</p><p> And I'm not sure what you meant about iceshape not being good for non-raiders...it works extremely well in my opinion for short fights, every single spell you cast during the generally sub 20 second heroic fights in instances will have a guaranteed proc, and with casting speed boosts, its just...well...fun as hell, really.</p>

The damage is instead credited to the wizard, but it doesn't generate hate for anyone (besides the hate you get for casting a beneficial spell, as with other beneficial spells).

OK, not that many opinions for us on PVP servers. I think Protoferno is the best choice, as it can taunt and debuff for you.
