Heya all. So this is something me and my many others have discussed before in that: We are in dire need of some variety in our robe designs. Okay so get this, myself and 5 group mates are in a dungeon. Three of us are mages, and discover we are wearing similar looking robes. I ask what robes they are wearing, and they each say a different robe. Heck we were called out as possibly being a 'bot group' based on our similar robes.... So basically three different robes... same graphic. I mean COME ON SoE! How lazy can you be!? We need some variety in robe appearances, don't be like other games and just throw the same stale robe design on every robe in the teir. You're better than that! Wow... and here I thought Warcrafts "Robe of the Whale/Snail/Condor/whatever" named robes were boring... But then this is SOE... I stopped expecting anything from them a long time ago.

I'll agree with this. There are different models for plate/chain armor so why is there only 1 model for a robe that has a different skin put over the top of it?

I see you three all shop at the same store

I'm starting to feel a little like a broken record We're not going to see any new armors until the model revamp is done. New skins are a possiblity, but even then the devs usually don't retroactively change the appearance of an armor piece, with some specific exceptions. That would be why all the characters in that screenshot look the same; there weren't a lot of robe skins at first, and the more elaborate ones were reserved for high-level armors.

Gah that same rusty brown robe... Brown is not a good clothing color and never was lol. T3 MC robes are like that too... I was so happy to rush into splitpaw and finish the arena challenge because the arcane champions robe looked so much better and standed out. Then i found a "Cloth Blouse" that looked exactly like it... Now my wizard is wearing the robe of sewn eyelashes which isn't much better being all blue and all...

This is a picture of Sydney from "Vagrant Story" for Play Station [One of the best RPGS ever] anyway, I would love for SOE to add armour like this for NECROMANCER.

Yes, it would be nice to have more variety and elegance. But, that means an even bigger client. I vote for more variety and elegance. We don't all want to look like Gandalf.

I would like to see more robe design variety as well. Also I would like to have the same quality stat choices between wearing robes vs wearing a vest and pants. It would be nice to have quality choices to decide whether to wear a robe or a vest and would give variety to the mage classes. Since the beginning of eq2 all armor has been bland and similar with little attraction to any of the pieces available in the game.

However, the npc's sport about in a spetacular variety of armor designs, too bad we can't kill them and take the armor right off their backs.

There are no dyes in the game, but in regards to robes, I always wish tailors got the ability to make a few colors of the same type of robe. Instead of having one T5 rare robe recipe, give them like 3-5 (red, green, blue, etc....)

Would at least offer some differences. Anyone not in a robe has the shoulder, chest, and legs to differentiate themselves. A caster just has his/her robe.

it will take more than dyes. style needs to be important too. the complete redundancy of the use of textures, meshes, and whatever gives the game a dated/incomplete feel. i'm fairly confident now that the model revamp is going to make the characters look worse, the wardrobe uninspired, both... or some additional disaster. i hope i'm wrong but given the absence of tangible evidence to give us hope all i see is a company trying to squeeze out another month of fees. i remember when i first started asking someone when the good stuff showed up because the newbie equipment looked dreadful. they said oh the later levels. what a shock when i realized that the newbie armor was better looking than later levels. and that's not really a compliment to any of them.

Why can't Mages use swords in EQ2? A lot of fantasy realms have swords used by Mages, WoW has swords designed specifically for Mages...why was we forced to threaten people with sticks and little pig-sticking daggers?

Add like, for necromancer, you can summmon a black sword in your hand for 3 minutes. Conjurer can summon fire/water/earth/wind swords. And Wizards can used Wizard only swords.
