Yes, I intend to make my coercer my main character. But due to time constraints and having a family I rarely have time to group (sometimes but not often) and so I want to two-box to be able to get to a littel more content.

The question is, being a coercer can be pretty hectic just on its own. So are there any good duo-partners for a coercer that are reasonably easy to two-box? It does not have to be the most powerful combination, easy is more important...

Some of my own thoughts:

Necro: A stable pet, potential for two pets and probably rather easy to play together.

Other mage class: Perhaps a warlock or wizard, any thoughts on this?

Healer type: Good for healing the charmed pet and maybe for a little extra safety, but is it good overall?

Fighter type: A tank, could be good I suppose, but we can't heal, which would hurt this combination I would guess.

Any thoughts?

Hi I 2-box myself. In my opinion coercer 2-box combat is basically mezzing/stunning while a higher dps char beats the brains out of the mob. Using a low dps class requires a lot of patience for powerful mobs as coercer dps isn't fantastic.

Necro: A stable pet, potential for two pets and probably rather easy to play together.

Agreed.

Other mage class: Perhaps a warlock or wizard, any thoughts on this?

Definitely wizard. I used to have a warlock but betrayed to wizard for several reasons.

- Wizard's single target dps makes it better suited for mez, root, nuke, mez repeat tactic

- Wizard has evac

Healer type: Good for healing the charmed pet and maybe for a little extra safety, but is it good overall?

- Coercer is the class that provides the safety, your other char provides the dps.

Fighter type: A tank, could be good I suppose, but we can't heal, which would hurt this combination I would guess.

- Get a scout. Higher dps. A brigand/swash can tank and the mez, backstab, stun, mez repeat tactic will work fine.

Honestly it depends on what you prefer to play. For *really* tough mobs nothing beats a wizard landing the huge hits while coercer keeps mob mezzed, stunned, rooted, etc. The downside is your grp is very fragile if something goes wrong. A little bit safer would be a summoner, as you've got a pet as a buffer if you use it to tank, or FD/rez if necro. For melee I'd go SK/paladin if you wanted a heavy tank as both can heal to some degree. Scouts aren't bad with vitality breach and their ability to burst dps (non bards). You always have the luxury of mezzing and backing off on most mobs. Enchanters in general duo well with most any class.

Thank you all for the answers, I think I will try with both a necro and a SK, pally seems maybe better but they are on the wrong side faction wise and since this will be a duo almost from the get go (coercer lvl 20 only) I would like them to be in the same starter area.

I as a Palidan used to duo with a Illusionist and We were a godlike duo. There wasn't much we couldn't take down. We'd burn mobs hard till I got in the orange then we'd stopamd he would mezz, then I would heal us and he would regen. Plus with amends you can burn till your heart is content. I give this duo 2 thumbs up for sure!!

He he, I will have to try an illusionist/pally duo on the good side then...
