Vanishing carpet

I went to Sinking Sands and hopped on my carpet, went into and instance, fought some stuff and got out. At this point as I was pn my carpet when I went it it auto popped and I was on it again, but the icon for it was grayed out. I checked my inventory, it was gone. When I changed continents the carpet didn't return. I looked around to see if I'd somehow managed to put it in the bank and still ride it to another continent, still can't find it, but the icon for it is still faded on my hot bar. I petitioned days ago but didn't get a response. What gives? I'm not heartbroken mind you, lvl 55 ogre troubadors can run fairly fast and jump off of fairly high places, it was just cool to have.

Thanks for all the repies! (not sure if anyone actually reads these at this point anyways) That was my first mount and I didn't realize they worked in the charm slot. I was using mine from inventory so when I accidentally equipped it my icon to start it grayed out. I deleted that one and created a new shortcut to the charm slot and I'm back in business. Nothing wrong with the system, just user ignorance (and lots of it).

Yes people do read these but in order to troubleshoot issues we do need technical details as to why this could have happened.  This seems more like a game related issue.  It could have been a variety of things like a video card issue, but without the required information we would not be able to troubleshoot it. I am glad you found the resolution to your problem!
