Mordakai is my character and here is the begining of his story. i will be posting more as time goes on. i hope to get positive and some negative feedback so i know how to improve and also possibly some ideas. Enjoy!

Norrath, what was once a lush and peaceful planet has now become corrupt and broken. It all happened five hundred years ago when the Shattering took place. The Shattering was when pieces of the moon of Luclin broke apart and came crashing down on Norrath causing the world to tear apart. During this crisis many lands were destroyed, cities lost, and races perished.

Our adventure takes place present day five hundred years after the Shattering in one of the two remaining cities, the city of Qeynos. Qeynos is a city of trust, friendship, honesty, and valor ruled by the queen, Antonia Bayle. Many things have changed in Norrath after five hundred years. Not only was Qeynos restored but its evil counter part Freeport was too. Freeport if a city of cruelty, maliciousness, hate, and vengeance led by the dictator Lucin De'Lere, but it wasn't just these two cities that survived. Many places including Antonica, the Commonlands, Everfrost, Lavastorm, Nektulos, the Enchanted Lands, and many others survived. Like always though where there is land there are creatures both good and evil. Unfortunately Lucin was able to gather many of these forces of evil and under certain persuasion, fight along side him. It is now up to us, the Qeynos Guard to stop Lucin's invasion of evil before it is too late. We the Guard are limited in number though we make up for it in skill we are still out numbered. Lucin has gathered orcs and many other foul creatures from around the world, while are men are spread only throughout Antonica. We must call for aid from others before Lucin gets to them first. At this time you are probably wondering who I am. I am nothing more than a survivor of these harsh times, I am a kerra, I am Mordakai Malicesin!

Heres more

Before I continue with my tale I think you should learn some lore behind the kerra and myself. We are strong and faithful race able to care for ourselves without the help of others and unfortunately the majority of us prefer it this way. Why you ask? It all began when the erudites led by Erud came on Kerra Isle and began to take over. The erudites thinking that they are the superior race and all others are inferior only thought of us as mere animals. A group of heretic erudites were secretly studying the dark arts of necromancy. In doing so many of our people contracted a terrible disease. Kejaan, our noble and very first leader was unfortunately one of the ones who contracted the disease. He died later on leaving Vah Kerrath in charge. Eventually the erudites waged war against the heretics which later became known as the Civil War. When their magic clashed it caused an explosion causing a whole kerra village to vanish and re-appear on the moon of Luclin. Vah Kerrath who survived renamed this tribe the Vah Shir. I was one of the ones who survived and continued to live on Kerra Isle, which was completely taken over by the erudites and renamed Odus. For nearly five hundred years I remained a slave to them treated merely as a household cat until the Shattering happened.

Seeing it first hand I can only start to describe it as pure and utter hell! As I stood I could actually see villages and its people burning as they fall through the atmosphere. The most horrific thing about this was that they too were kerra, the kerra that were sent there due to the erudites! As pieces of the moon fell down upon us I ran for cover. Soon I realized there is no possible place you can hide from massive pieces of land that are on fire! Waking up several days later I realized what has happened and immediately began looking for survivors. While I was walking the things that I saw were unimaginable. The land was scorched and there were bodies laying everywhere so severely burned and crushed by the fiery debris that they were almost unrecognizable. I did however meet up with several groups of kerra who survived. We started cleaning up burning what was left of the bodies and making a memorial for them...as for the dead erudites...well let's just say we didn't starve. As the years went on we began to breed a new stronger race of kerra and eventually moved from our shattered island to the two remaining cities Qeynos and Freeport.

I decided to head over to Qeynos where I began training to become part of the Qeynos Guard. After many years of rigorous training I finally became Sentry Mordakai Malicesin of the Guard. I was stationed out into one of the towers on Antonica where I met a human by the name of Trioce Dumer who also was part of the Qeynos Guard. Now I know I said that most kerra do not trust other races and prefer to stay to them selves. Well as for me I'm not most kerra I am more social and outgoing. As they say once a bond if formed between a kerra and another it is seldom broken. For me this is true. Trioce and I began working together and with the help of the other Guard members we started to bring peace back in Antonica. With this said let us continue our adventure in present time.

Hmm...<Scratches his chin> well, here's my feedback...Mostly negative, so brace yourself.

Overall, the paragraphs need to be broken up a bit more, unless, of course, this meant more to be a journal than a story. Journal's you can write any way you want.

First of all, you may want to know that the Overlord's name is "Lucan" not "Lucin." I sometimes confused this for the moon "Luclin" missing an "L."

I think the common belief is that the Shattering happened a little more than decade ago. The five hundred years relate to the span between the times of EQ1 and EQ2.

As a kerra player, the lore seems to be very lenghty, especially for such a simple question as, "Why do you ask?"

If I remember right, Kerra Isle was founded by the Kerra after they left the Odus mainland. I don't recall any lore saying that it was taken over by the Erudites. You can still say that your character was a slave of the Erudites on Odus. I find that to be very believeable, especially he was held in Paineel.

Most folks that saw the Shattering went blind, but I think you could see the remains of the largest buildings as the pieces came crashing down. The people I'm not so sure about. That's a long way to make out such detail.

As for your view on what happened, I think you're more than entitled to say that the folks on Luclin perished in the explosion. I completely agree with it, myself. It'll take a new expansion with the whole city in it to convince me that Shar Vahl somehow survived the blast.

One post I read said that it'd be ironic to see Shar Vahl filling in the Hole on Odus. In a world where a third of the original tribe could be blasted to the moon's surface, why not put them back where they came from? For now, Shar Vahl is gone, the Nexus is gone, and so is the rest of the people that lived on Luclin. The only way Norrathians are ever going to see someone that lived on Luclin's surface at the time of the Shattering is going to be their ghosts haunting a crater or fragment.

Sum it all up, this story has the potential for nice introduction, but that's not going to happen without some research and work. (I know...Ick!)

Everyone needs to start somewhere, so don't give up.
