best computer upgrade for better graphics?

<p>I would like to play with better graphics, right now I can't see anyones hair color - its always white. What computer hardware could I upgrade to improve graphics but not reduce speed? My system is:</p><p> AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 1.8GHz, 1GB RAM, GeForce FX 5200  128MB ram</p><p>What would be the most economical upgrade and also what would be the best if I only upgraded 1 thing?</p><p>(Is there a way to allow hair color without changing any other settings in the game?)</p><p>Thanks!</p><p>Krista</p>

You definatly need a new video card.  I'm guessing you have an AGP video slot.  Probibly best to go with an Nvidia 7600GT.  It would also be helpful to add another gig of memory.

better card is best bet, but anyhow... white hair? my girl have a worse system and can see the colors o_O perhaps a driverproblem?
