I am still pretty disapointed they out these npcs in. It would have been alot better if they just flagged one of your raid force for the next floor instead of relying on one of your raid force kill a heroic.

I don't mind killing the trash because it drops componets....the issue I have is that you need to do it all in 1 sitting.

Anyways...

Just curious what classes you all use for the challenges.

I heard templars really own the mobs but in my experainces:

1.) First try I didn't realize there was a 3 minute time limit and just conserved mana <failed challenge>

2.) Second try I put on all my procing gear and and chained HO's nuking, didn't heal unless I was at like 10% health and was using emerald hammer between nukes. I killed the easier mob and got the ^^ to 50% when the timer expired and I only had 10% power left.

I am not sure how they say templars can kill this thing unless they are speced purly for dps...even then I'm not sure if that AA line would boost dps by that much.

One of the big issues is that you can only snare them (if they dont resist since they have a huge resist rate) and they are immune to any other crown control methods.

So how are other classes fairing with this npc?

we used a templar, owned the encounter. He just dpsed it down and didn't worry about mana. Brawler can devistation fist the weaker add and its pretty easy from there. Conj can do it on first floor, but second floor is much tougher. Never had the chance to let a scout try it.

Is your templar dps speced or something because I am pure healing spec.

The floors have different difficulties? I just assumed that they were all the same.

The reason that we haven't used a druid was because you can't root the mobs and I think if those mobs would faceown a leather healer if the got in melee range. They were hitting me for some pretty hefty damage in plate.

Well, first floor mob was pretty easy for the classes that tried it. Second floor had a mage nuking for 2k+ and are unrootable. Second floor you cannot damage the double ^ before you kill the single down heroic either, so all AE dps is a total waste unless you can devistation fist it. Weaker mob is also a healer. I'm sure it can be done, but first and second floor encounters are night and day different.

Hello, I heard they despawn when a pet dies. Is that true? And if yes, does that also applies for swarm pets or only main pet?

I do not think it works with a swarm pet, but it did work with conj pet when we tried it. The pet was named after the caster, so it may have been some confusion in the coding. From the games POV, the encounter was fighting 2 people with the same name, when one dies it flags the encounter as finished and despawns. Try renaming the pet to a different name and see if it works.

In Section 1 our Inqui tried the mob and failed. To low dmg. In Section 2 a swashi tried his luck and killed the mob.

If swarm pets die it does not end the encounter. So use swarm pets all you want.

Did the first one with my necro and tank pet up. It took about 1 min and wasn't that hard. Just let tank pet tank and burn the easy one first.

I screwed up Third floor healer trial as a templar - but I was stupidly unaware they were immune to control effects. I wasted too much time and relied on daze/stun that weren't working, and I didn't have preheals up... it cost me, and I slipped too low to recover (hp wise). It would have been easy to finish in time, though, at the rate I was going.
