First I would like to say that I returned to EQ 2 after not playing since a month after its launch. The game has matured very nicely and I have been playing nonstop. Great job SOE !

I have 2 suggestions to make:

1- Can the mariner bells in Neriak port the toon to another site maybe the respective ports. I hate porting to Nec or TS and having to run from the spire.

2- As a druid I like porting. My only problem is the idea that the members have to have picked leafs to use it. I think that druids should do a quest. But I think that other players shouldnt have to. Most toons dont pick the leafs and are unable to use my port.

Thanks guys and if you keep this up I might have to give up on my Azeroth account.

Im still amazed people haven't taken the few minutes out to pick the leaves for the rings.

I pick them up when I see them. I dont get ported... ever.... so Im in no rush! But definately, once I have a toon for sure, they are going on the top of the list of to get!

Personally I think druids have it better than wizzies, wizzies have to pay 30s each time they want to port (well use an item that costs 30s each), whereas druids only need the traveller to have picked up a leaf (once).

And yeah, everyone I know has gone and picked up the leaves.

Glad youre back and enjoying yourself though

I don't think lowbies would want to take a bell from their home harbor and end up in the middle of a new zone. The spires and druid rings aren't always in a completely 'safe' area, and the path from them to the docks isn't going to be all that safe, either.

As for the leaves for druid ports, well, it's all part and parcel of the 'no free rides' policy that seems implicit in most of the travel arrangements. Bells costing silver, wizzy ports costing silver, druid ports requiring you to walk to the area first... Not that every type of port/portal has that, but I can see their philosophy.

There are already a lot of people who complain that it's too easy and fast to get across the world. A one or two minute run isn't really much of a hardship.

The warlock ports are prettier than the druid and wizzie ports. They are more fun too
