I would hope this has been posted about 100 times, but whats up with charmed pets being so gimped they cant go toe to toe with a even con solo mob.  Is there any way for our charmed pets to be as good as say necro or conj pets, i mean those pets are about 100 X's stronger then most of the junk we can charm.  I understand that some mobs absolutly rock as far as DPS, but im in SOS with Adp 3 pet and what i do is let my pet get killed by the mob as i stand there and charm the mob that killed my pet. So far the only mob i like having charmed is the corpse candle, besides that charm is a waste of a spell in every zone.

If you could literally charm, stand back and watch the pet beat the "brains" out of another one, coercer would be totally overpowered. Charm generally gives you added dps not a free tank. Your pet will never be equivalent to that of a conj or a necro, but by no means is charm a wasted spell in a zone. If you charm the right pet (normally best to pick a caster) and you get yourself a master charm spell, you will find your overall DPS at least doubles. If you have a fragile pet that accures a lot of aggro (eg corpse candle) the best tactic is to charm, then type /pet ranged and use root&nuke. Mitigate your pet with stuns and dazes, you have plenty of them. You are thinking of charm in the wrong way, and should re-think your solo strategies. P.S. the mobs in the zone determine how well you can solo. There is one zone in particular that you can charm a pet that will do in excess of 3k DPS regularly.

The only part that bugs me is our good spells require something to get hit, but you generally can't let you or the pet get hit, just bugs me.
