Hello people! First off, I frequent the boards a lot... not so much these days though. I have been finding myself jumping from MMO to MMO constantly these days, and jumping from character to character. Kinda feel lost almost! I began by playing EQ1... but after having taken a break from there, I was so far behind I just moved on and tried out SWG. Then SWG was destroyed (not by SOE as popular belief would have it). Then, I traveled to EVE online... pretty... but got boring quickly. Then I moved to EQ2... play it here and there, can't manage to stick to 1 character long enough to lvl to 70 or even justify making a sig lol. Last one I tried was Vanguard... which now is owned by Sony lol.

So, purpose of this post... things I'd like to see taken from other MMOs and put into EQ2. Everquest just has the familiarity I am used to that I enjoy, but could use some extra things!

1) Item interaction. I have heard many ask for it before. I LOVE the idea of sitting in a chair or laying on a bed etc. Heck, even if Sony wants to be lazy, they can do this by using existing animations. If you refuse to allow me to sit ina chair, add tons of raised pillows to sit on (Since we can sit but just not in chairs). Allow use to use the "feign death" animation to LAY down (without having someone kill me in my room so i can sleep). Any sort of trick to further my immersion feel.

2) More armor designs. I don't need to drag on about this... EVERYONE and their grandmother's twink understands this one [Removed for Content].

3) End group mobs. Honestly. Or at least put them equally as strong as the single mob. A 3 mob encounter has 3 mobs roughly 1/3 the strength of the 1 mob encounter (thus balancing out). I would prefer that the mobs keep their strength and not be weakend just because they are in a group. I miss the sheer importance of mezzers and decent pullers lol.

4) I like boats. I dislike bells. Sure keep some bells that go to those small newbie zones like the caves and such, but how about from now on we switch to boats? I know, boring waiting for the boat and then the journey... but this can be offset by having things to DO on a boat. Make us pay for the ride, and in return we get complimetry drinks and actually see something more than just WOOD. Maybe an NPC or two, or gambling... heck, why not make certain fish only retrievable while fishing on a boat... thus actually making boats kinda important for certain recipes... (I know, I think to much)

5) Zone improvement. VERY important. What I would prefer to see is zones having some sort of balancing done. Instead of bringing in a new zone that offers better xp, better vendor stuff, and better loot, I'd like to see them balanced. So, Zone A might have good xp but dont expect much loot or money. Zone B may have nice loot, but be lacking on the XP. And so forth. This USUALLY results in people diversifying across different zones, which will extend the life of a zone.

6) For the love of God... PLEASE modify the trivial loot code. Its more expensive being level 30 than it is lvl 60. I know, it's done to remove farmers... but you know what? Farmers made it POSSIBLE to be a lowbie! Maybe reduce the drop rate instead or something. Either fix the looting, or get rid of attuning so we can sell the older stuff (Which will NOT ruin the economy or cause lowbies with high lvl gear if you keep the lvl restrictions on them).

7) I think crafting should be modified so that crafted armor by itself has just mitigation, and during creation different reagents can be added for different stats. Such as maybe a lvl 30 piece of armor has a set mitigation and a set number of reagents allowed; like 3 maybe. So, the person buying the armor is a templar and wants wisdom, so he requests wisdom with it and the crafte can use 3 reagents that add wisdom, so now the armor piece only has mitigation and a decent amount of wisdom, no other stats. I personally think it'd allow for a better way to feel more individual and customized.

Im gonna go out on a ledge here, but bring back more stuff from EQ1. Like armor pieces... I loved the Armor of Ro series, the Valorium and Deepwater stuff too (Yes... I was a Paladin [Removed for Content]). That lambent stuff for the bards was pretty as well as te singing steel. Make them hard to get and take a while or something, like the HQs (But mostly soloable pls!).

9) I see villages and towns... windstalker village... thundermist village... the docks in TS... and others... make them more useful. Some vendors with MEANINGFUL items. Im sorry... but no one buys the lvl 10 water from the vendors in areas meant for lvl 40+.

So, my rambling comes to an end. Im bored at work and just had a few ideas... rip them apart at your leisure
